Jack Leiter had 10 strike outs at Round Rock . I hope he turns into a # 1 pick they hoped for . Andrew Heaney should be in the bullpen strictly as situational lefty . And I really liked Jon Gray as a middle innings out of the bullpen last yrs playoffs . Eovaldi Bradford Dunning make a nice 3 you have to have a reliable 4th starter .

If Bochy isn’t the best at what he does I don’t know who is .

Jerry should take a look at Bochy and learn what the value of a good coach is.

When is deGrom coming back?

Wyatt Langford looking like a great pick so far. Never spent a single day in the minors.
 
I was thinking of another # 1 pick OF Bubba Thompson . Thought he might stick in the bigs but with that crowded OF that looks like a washout of a high pick . Baseball not like the NFL # 1’s often have trouble making it seems like .
 
Well Leiter got lit up in his debit by the Tigers but I want to see him in 5 days take another turn in the rotation. Need to find out about him and Heaney needs to head to the bullpen .
 
Baseball is a marathon even so it was nice to salvage the last game in Atlanta the best team in the NL , Don’t want to get swept . And Michael Lorenzen is a nice addition to the rotation . Shut down the Braves after the 1st gives you 6 innings .
 
This weekend against Houston is big . Climbing back towards .500 baseball both Houston & Seattle are within sight . Relevant second half baseball please .

And all these injuries suffered holy smokes .
 
Scherzer has come out and stated he will not waive his no trade clause , feels they will play winning baseball second half and trade talk is a moot point . Good attitude . Now stay healthy Max help Nathan E with that second half surge .
 
With all the injuries first half of the season to be only 5 games out of first place at the ALL star break is amazing . The West is there for taking .
 
Jung & Carter should be back by August for the final 2 months . Dunning coming back will help the rotation .
 
Bruce Bochy never had a chance in 2024 with the pitching ( starting ) he was asked to go with . I hope some of the bullpen pieces come back next season like Yates Robertson LeClerc but man Chris Young has to find some starters next season . The lineup 1-9 is nice but you have to have pitching in baseball .


Did Texas totally miss on # 1 picks Leiter & Rocker ? Those would be huge misses .
 
I see where Jordan Montgomery says his agent Scott Boras screwed up his free agency and he fired him after he only cashed in on a one year 25 million $ contract with Arizona , the team ironically he helped Texas beat in the 23WS.

Now after a disastrous year Arizona banished him to the bullpen . Seems Jordan could have stepped in and signed with the Red Sox in the off-season and instead had to settle for a one yr deal . It’s called over valuing your worth. .

CD Lamb has turned down a lucrative offer from Dallas , Jerry should offer a take it or leave it deal and be prepared to go with hungry young WR’s already in camp . The owners are dumb continually caving .
 
They expect Leiter to showcase in Sept with Rocker in spring training in 2025. Chris Young has to get starting pitching to Arlington 2025 this 1-9 lineup can compete for another WS , need help . I sure hope Yates Robertson come back in 25 to anchor this bullpen .
 
Pitching buried Texas this year . DeGrom has to stay healthy next year or that contract is a massive mistake . Leiter & Rocker have to come through as # 1 draft choices . And my goodness Nathan Eovaldi has to come back next year with Yates & Robertson in the bullpen .
 
Gerrit Cole is a FA unless the Yankees add another 36 million $ yr to his contract . If they don’t which is unlikely but as a Rangers fan offer the 34 yr a deal plus emerging FA Eovaldi has to get a serious offer to stay .

Eovaldi DeGrom Cole as top 3 I like my chances . Go for another WS they have the 1-9 lineup they need a commanding rotation .
 
I’m too lazy to start a 2025 Rangers thread but the free agent addition of Joc Pederson as a DH in the middle of that lineup , outstanding. Another ex Dodger from that winning culture coming to Texas like Seagar ….this team gearing up for another WS run .

And Nathan Eovaldi coming back to anchor the rotation . Beautiful .
