Dont know if this is a repost but we should all go over and put the Cowboys as the number one pro sports franchise.

But the idiot Commanders fans will probably claims that is just bias on ESPN's part.

Yankees and its not even close. That is a team that has had only a handfull of losing years (almost all of them late 60's-early 70's) since the early 20's. Then you add the world championships and its ridiculous.
NBA has only been significant since the 60s.
No football team has been consistent winners for 80 years.
Hockey- well its no longer a major sport but I guess there are a couple of contenders there.

I dont think you can really argue any of the top 3 myself. They (Yanks, Celts, Lakers)have all dominated their sports more than we have. Since the 90s we have caught up some to the Lakers and Celts. but we havent passed them IMO.

GB you can argue. They have been nearly as good or dominant since the 70s. I would guess theirs is about mystique. Which shouldnt enter the picture.

I believe I thought out my list well. I gave significance of the sport presidence over the teams achievement. Yankees are my true #1, but I had to put the Cowboys there to counter all the obvious Cowboy hate. It's so obvious with the team holding second place by such a large margin in 1st place votes but coming up 5th overall. No other team has such a discrepancy.
