I'd say Roy and Ware are neck-and-neck as the surest tacklers on this defense. Either of those guys get their hands on a ballcarrier and he goes down.

After that;
Bradie James,

and in no particular order

Ayodele

Henry - sometimes gambles and goes for the strip but otherwise pretty sure tackler for a CB

Newman - comes up and takes on the run fearlessly, especially for a guy his size

Glenn - made a nice, 1st down saving tackle today on Harrison(I think)

Burnett - doesn't seem to get as many opportunities since he is in coverage a lot but is a plenty good tackler

Harder to rate the d-linemen since most of their tackles come in heavy traffic but Ratliff seems like another guy who gets his hands on ball carriers and drops them.

Fowler seems to make a few nice ST tackles every game.

Roy isnt a sure tackler. He has bad technic. He puts his head down alot before contact trying to go for the kill shot. Also he doesn't wrap up. Now he is the heaviest hitter.

When Roy tries to explode people he doesn't wrap up.
Although it seems like that is all he does, it isn't.
When he is providing run support around the line he tackles very, very well.

Fergy has become a much better tackler over the years, and I'd rank him now with any dt in the league..he worked hard on fundamentals and tho he doesn't play in the space a backer or corner does, when he's moving laterally, he's both precise and ferocious.

He's made a few open field tackles this year that were text book big-guy wraps ups.
