If the Cowboys win the Super Bowl, there is a very strong chance that Romo would be the league MVP. The two almost go hand in hand IMO.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Tony win both MVPs (NFL and SB). But no matter who gets what personal awards, I just want to see Jerry holding Dallas' 6th Lombardi Trophy in February:starspin

Pretty sure everyone is in agreement there. The other decorations mean very little without hoisting the Lombardi.

Actuallly I'd love to see Zack Thomas win CPOY. Obviously the absolutely best thing that can happen would be the Cowboys winning the SB. I'd also like to see Ware be named the Defensive Player of the Year & Romo win both the NFL MVP & the SB MVP. Last time a Cowboy won it was back in 93 with Emmitt. It would be great to have a Cowboy repeat this year as we enter our new stadium in 2009.

Give that man a cigar, absolutely correct. And if the players are looking at any of those other things, they are off base and need to refocus.

I can never understand the mentality of guys like you.

*** Does this response have to do with the thread topic?

What's wrong, the Cowboy fan with optimistic thoughts about his team annoy you so you have to remind him its been a while since they won a playoff game?

As if we should just be shooting for or be happy with one playoff win.

IF you're a Cowboy fan with that attitude, you're an ******. If you're not a Cowboy fan you're a troll and a bigger ******.

Because this is the most important item that is why. I just think it needs to be included in the list. Who doesn't want their team to win th SB. I want a playoff victory! Because then we can put it to rest. Then no one can say Tony Romo is not a good QB, etc....My picture with Michael Irvin on the sidelines of a Buffalo Bills Monday night game should tell you how much of a fan I am.

Has a linebacker ever won the NFL MVP?

I would assume so...but can't think of any.

LT won it in 86, I don't think that there was another.

Cowboys should win the Super Bowl; I'd say their odds are 90 percent or greater.

Tony Romo would be a sure bet for MVP if they do.

Demarcus Ware winning NFL Sack Title is a safe bet, but Ellis still is the guy to beat- and that's good for us on both ends of the line.

Felix Jones being offensive Rookie of the Year wouldn't be a bad bet.

Roy Williams winning comeback player of the year is possible given the negative publicity he gets-although I still think he's all-pro.

Mike Jenkins winning defensive rookie of the year- I don't know.

Marion Barber winning the NFL rushing title is a longshot- he's not that style of runner. He's a basher, but I don't think he could stand up to the number of carries it takes to win the rushing title.

Even if his play warranted it, I doubt that the NFL would give Adam Jones any recognition other than "recovering thug"- which is unfair.

Good offseason topic!

1 Demarcus Ware winning Defensive Player of the Year
2 Demarcus Ware winning the NFL Sack Title
3 Dallas Cowboys win the Super Bowl
4 Tony Romo winning NFL MVP
5 Felix Jones winning Offensive Rookie of the Year

The rest I don't see having a shot at happening, so I suppose they are tied for 6th:

Terrell Owens winning Offensive Player of the Year- There are still quite a few folks that don't like TO the person, so he would have to play at an absurd level to get that hardware.
Marion Barber winning the NFL Rushing Title - He's probably going to get less carries than LT, Adrian Peterson and a healthy Steven Jackson, so that really puts him behind the eight-ball
6 Mike Jenkins winning Defensive Rookie of the Year - Too many players ahead of him in the line-up.
Roy Williams winning Comeback Player of the Year - Roy just went to the Pro-bowl, so while this may end up being true amongst Cowboy-nation, it will not get any hardware.
Adam Jones winning Comeback Player of the Year - I doubt anyone will vote for someone that was suspended from the league. Even if it looks like it may happen, expect Goodwell to step in with some rule to block it.

All of the above would be nice too... :) Except for the whole Roy Williams thing because he won't play enough to get that chance in my opinion.

I should not have accused you of being a troll.

Listen Zack, we are going to win a playoff game this coming January.
I'm as sure of this as I am the fact that there will be playoff games played this January.

Winning a playoff game this January is not a goal. It will not be an accomplishment. It is a forgone conclusion.

The redsucks fan, the beagles fan, the midgets fan, AKA the Cowboy Haters want winning a playoff game to be a goal of ours. They want it to be some sort of barrier we cant breach.

It is not, and I refuse to acknowledge it as one.
