Everyone is down on Zeke but he’s been better than Murray. Zeke has had three 1300+ yard seasons. Murray only have one real big season. Murray had a 13 TD season while Zeke had a 15 TD season. Zeke has had 3 double digit TD seasons. He also had a franchise record for RBs with 72 receptions. Go compare his numbers with Murray and it’s clear he’s been the better back but most fans here live in the moment and Zeke is on the decline.

I agree. Murray was very, very good for a short period. Elliott set such a high standard his rookie season that he can never live up to the expectations he set, but his numbers stack up well against other top backs. If he had gotten injured, his numbers were on the way to being the best he's posted since probably that first season, so I don't know if he's on the decline. But we'll have to see how he bounces back from injury, or if he's reached that point in a typical RB's career where injury causes that decline to accelerate.

If you have anyone other than Elliott first it's hard to take the list seriously. Yes Murray had 1 outstanding year and was a productive runner for 4 seasons, but Zeke has contributed more.

1) Elliott
2) Murray

After that my personal favorite of the rest was Marion Barber. His punishing run style was fun to watch and productive.

3) Barber
4) Julius Jones
5) Felix Jones

Honorable mentions to Darren McFadden and Tony Pollard. Tony is a talented runner, way under utilized the last 2 seasons. It will take a big 2022 to move up the ranks.

If I remember right Murray was really good as a recieving rb in college. Like with pollard he was not used that way often

The cowboys have had good rb's. Randle and choice were pretty good too.

When Felix and barber went down, and choice started for 4 or so games he played amazing. He started against the steelers, ravens, and giants which were 3of the top 4 defenses, and they were playing really good defense. I think he went 100+ yards from scrimmage in all of those games. Then they benched him going towards the post season. I never understood that, and he never really played again in the nfl

1 - Elliot. He has had good career other than dealing with no O-Line and his first injury this season..

2 - Murray gets the nod perhaps. He just fumbled at the worst possible times.

3 - MB.. He was cool. And a tough and hard runner.. Was a lot of fun to watch.. Maybe MB should get #2. I feel bad for him now. He had a hard time after he retired..
