Right now if i had to place who I think are the best recievers in the game, i would say 1. Andre Johnson 2. Miles Austin 3. Calvin Johnson 4. Larry Fitzgerald 5. Desean Jackson. Let me hear your opinions

Right now? Austin tops the list and it's not really close.

I wouldn't even rank DeSean Jackson in the Top 20, let alone the top 5.

My list would be exactly the same, except Reggie Wayne and Anquan Boldin would be tied at #5.

This year SO FAR it is. Obviously this list is drastically different, but that is because after 5 weeks of the season players such as Lloyd, Floyd and Nicks are on track to breakout as elite WRs.
1. Austin
2. Lloyd (this years emerging WR, hes a Bronco incase you somehow didn't know)
3. Roddy White.
4. Hakeem Nicks
5. T.O/Reggie Wayne/Floyd

NFL Top WRS:

1. Austin (I had ranked him at #2, saying this year he can breakthrough as #1. He has done that)
2. Marshall (Has the worst QB of any top 5, infact probably top 10 WR)
3. Johnson
4. White
5. Wayne (although it has more to do with Manning than it has to do with him.)

As much as I wanted to put Austin at the top i just couldnt do it. Andre is a beast and has been putting up huge numbers for years

DeSean is one of the biggest game changers in the NFL. He is a threat to take it to the house everytime he touches the ball

Go back the past 16 games. Andre doesn't match him. What Andre did over 2 years ago doesn't factor into who's the best "right now."

that cant be said for a lot of WR"s? I mean really? DeSean can score at will? I havent seen it yet.

That's because the only time he touches the ball is on a deep pass downfield.

Yup. Theres only 1 WR in the NFL I would consider in Miles' spot right now, thats Brandon Marshall, as his playing style will allow him to be great until his mid 30s, while Miles' more physical style will have him start fading around 31/32.

but Marshall has diva-ish characteristics, which gives Miles the edge. Plus Miles is more of a bigplay threat.

There both 26.

What phyiscal style is that? Catch the ball and run?

I knew i was going to hear a ton about this but i really would love if the cowboys had a shifty speed guy like this. Ill admit that he is mainly just a deep threat but i do not feel like you have to force feed him the ball like some of the other "top" wideouts in the game. ( brandon marshall)

Miles fights for extra yardage like a running back, its pointed out alot. He takes alot more hits than most WR's because of it.

False. Miles Austin is the best in the league by a long shot. DeSean Jackson!? You're out of your mind.

1. Miles Austin

2. Andre Johnson
3. Calvin Johnson
4. Larry Fitzgerald
T5. Roddy White/Randy Moss

Theo beat me to it.

DeSean may be a big play threat, but that's all he is. He is nowhere near a complete receiver. He is not good at the short to intermediate routes.

He leads the league in yards per reception... but he only has 18 receptions, good enough for 47th in the league. That's a very telling stat.

I changed it. You're still out of your mind for listing DeSean Jackson even in the top 10. I can name AT LEAST 10 guys I'd rather have before DeSean Jackson, and some of them are #2 and #3 guys.

1. Miles Austin

2. Andre Johnson

4. Larry Fitzgerald
5. Roddy White

Miles is a beast ill give you that

For me:

1. Miles Austin - No doubt in my mind he is the best WR in the game right now.

2. Larry Fitzgerald - He has shared many of touches with Anquan Boldin and now is cursed with no QB.

3. Andre Johnson - Most probably say he is the best and it would be difficult to prove them wrong.

4. Calvin Johnson - I can only imagine what he would do in a Cowboy uniform versus a Detroit uniform. The youngest of them all, but not much younger than Miles and Brandon.

5. Brandon Marshall - Top notch, may not shine in Miami like he would in a real offense.
