One thing to remember is how young most of our D was and still is. Only Fergie has real long term experience, and Ayodele was converted to 3-4 ILB last year. every other starter except for Ellis was a first or second year player. I think BP was worried about them trying to do too much and getting confused. It is certainly possible that he was wrong about that.

Great observations - that's exactly what I'm hoping for.

And in my 'unbiased' opinion, I think Phillips will have a better overall secondary than the one he had in San Diego.

Not that they didn't underperform last year, but I think the talent level of Dallas' secondary is better than that in San Diego.

The Cowboys have made a considerable investment of free agents, money and draft picks to field a dominant defense and I'm hoping that finally comes together this year!

The best part of our defense is the change this year to who is running it.

You're all preaching to the choir. The notion itself makes me smile, but it would be nice to see results. For me, it's buyer beware with this defense until sustained proof has been offered up.

Hope may spring eternal for some, but for the time being, I remain a skeptic.

Every time you throw up one of these videos, it seems that you're attempting to prove a point by showing us the exception to the rule. In this case you're attempting to prove that Mario wasn't a bad corner by showing us a video of ONE of his FIVE career INT's. So what? I don't dislike the player, but he wasn't a good corner...you could post the videos of the other four INT's he accumulated throughout his career and it still wouldn't make it so.

Now let's see how much you pay attention. I don't hate Mario Edwards. Not by a long shot. I just happen to have pointed out the fact to you that he has been nowhere near the player Anthony Henry has. It isn't even close. You took a stupid stance and I pounced on it. That's your fault, so don't try and turn me into some kind of Mario Edwards hater. It isn't about Mario Edwards. It's about your stupid agenda.

Please tell me this, he's 31 years old, a full year older than Anthony Henry, yet you'd take him "any day over Henry" and want Henry gone because of his age. Would you care to explain that nonsense? How about addressing the HUGE disparity between their career stats? Or why don't you tell me why Edwards did not play in all of 2006, but has this amazing talent you showed above?

For the sake of argument I am going to name Reggie White on DL, Lawrence Taylor at LB, Ronnie Lott at S, and Deion Sanders at CB as the greatest players on defense ever, across the board. They are the best ever. Now pay close attention to this claim, because it is vital. Every one of those players got beat on plays now and then.



It's time to lose your nonsensical agenda. If you continue this I'm going to make you look like a lot worse than I already have. Let me be real clear, you've got nothing that even resembles a good take on this. Every football expert out there is going to have an opposite take than yours about Anthony Henry because he is a very good CB. Is he as good as Newman? Of course not, and no one is maintaining that he is. But he is nowhere near the complete liability you are painting him to be.
