Ranking the NFC East

Why dont you rank all 32 teams........ for the year 2047. It will be about as accurate.

The Commanders were the most aggressive NFCE team in free agency/trades this offseason. They didn’t re-sign Fowler because they didn’t want him.

Washington actually did change their culture.
thats a shocker. Its amazing what you can do when you have a 2nd year QB making chump change each week.
They changed their "Culture." bahahahhahahahahahaha, I love that BS about culture.

Based on what? They needed to improve their pass rush….they got worse losing Fowler.
Washington’s Achilles heel last year was getting run on, they were tied with Dallas as the third worst rush defense in the league giving up 4.8 ypc.

Fowler was not resigned, not lost, he was one of the worst ranked run defenders in then nfl last year according to PFF, 170th out of 210. He’s a situational pass rusher and talks about having as many sacks as he did in half the snaps of other more prominent players but he gets less snaps because he’s such a liability in the run game. The commanders signed a bunch of DL with size and that are good in run defense.

Washington had one of the worst rosters in the NFL at the end of the 2023 reason, their 1st round drafts picks under Rivera are all gone. I know you don’t believe in them because historically they have been a joke but they are not the same franchise from two years ago.

If Jerry and co suddenly left Dallas and a new owner stepped in, saying and doing all the right things, a new young qb came in as well as a new coach and a GM that turned over like 60% of the roster in a single year, do you think it would be fair judge the Dallas like it was still Jerry’s world? Snyder’s gone.

Dak owns this division
Dak has only played against eagles with hurts, once or none in last 2-3 years.
Everyone owned NYG recently, and Wash too until last season.

1. Eagles 14-3
2. Commanders 12-5 WC
3. Cowboys 11-6 WC
4. Giants 8-9

That’s a good statistics. I don’t think people realize that.

Funny how it seems everyone thinks they’re an expert when it comes to the competition. You’re too delusional as far as the Cowboys are concerned so what do we expect from you regarding the other teams. The Cowboys will be battling the Giants for third. Hanging around the .500 mark, give or take a game. Too many weak spots still.

Except they didn’t spend much last season. They opened up the wallet for this season, though. New coach, new GM, and most important, new owner, and they go to the NFCCG in their first year.

Cowboys fans are hoping the Commanders’ last season was a fluke. Fingers crossed. It took the new organization one off season to give the team new direction. It took more than a talented rookie quarterback. And if that is what made them good, the other three NFCE teams don’t have one.

I will be pretty impressed if we are above .500. Those easy division wins are no longer there and the non division schedule looks to be brutal.

I don't have any confidence in #4 even if he makes it through the season. But I don't really expect him to make it through and now we'll be counting on unproven guys.

We might beat out Giants for third place .... but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't.

How did they improve their pass rush?
I don’t know that they did anymore than I know Philly, Dallas, or NYG did. (albeit the Giants did add a player that likely improves theirs).

My guess is Philly and Washington win 10 or 11 games. One wins the division. The other might get a WC. Might. Cowboys win seven games, New York wins six. Tough schedules. Eagles had a lot of talent leave and have a new OC, an internal candidate. No way they’re winning 14 or 15 games as some have predicted here.

Cowboys may be better than last season. That doesn’t necessarily mean more wins.

I don’t have any doubts about the Eagles and predict they will be the first repeat NFC East champs in, what, 20 years? But I do think that it’s going to be a closer than expected 3-way race for 2nd place. I think the Giants will sneak up on some teams, the Cowboys will be more physical/tough and maybe less injury prone. And the team formerly known as the Foreskins have the Dan Quinn factor, meaning that sooner or later Quinn will fail and disappoint. Maybe not this season…we’ll see.

1. Eagles 15-2
2. Commanders 11-6
3. Cowboys 9-8
4. Giants 8-9
Not agreeing with the wins and losses but the order seems logical.

Well, we already know who and where they play next year.
And it sure as hell isn't one of those 3rd easiest schedules that we had a couple times in the last 5 years.

Last seasons schedule was pretty tough and this season may be tougher......thank God for playing the Panthers for the 3rd straight year
