This ranking should be based on which positions you feel need to be addressed in draft or FA from most urgent to least.

My opinion

1. CB (absolute must)
2. SS
3. LB
4. WR
5. DT
6. CB (if Carr is cut and Mo is not resigned maybe even higher for the 2nd CB)
7. RB
8. QB
9. RT
10. LB again

Any list which doesn't start with a QB is a no go.

My list.
Qb
Cb.
1 tech
Wr
Rb
De if we let hardy go
LB.don't see it as a major need.we have 3 guys who are barely playing so depth is good but I won't turn down a stud like Smith.

We have to address the QB position first and foremost. It was a problem for us this year and at Romo's age, it's not out of the question he gets injured against next year and we have to look towards the future.

Other than that, I tend to agree with your list although we really just need to get better at the MIKE. The SAM is hardly used because of today's passing offenses and I would assume that Hitchens can back up Lee when Lee gets injured, again.

I will never have the backup QB listed high on my list but to each his own. You don't think we Need LB's? Are you assuming Romac and Wilber are resigned? I think even if both were I would still want another LB. Since they both wont be resigned it is a huge need. SS? Sticking with Church?

Which positional LB are you referring to for this need MLB?
QB is a need that should be addressed if the talent is there and it should be higher IMO.
I have Byron Jones as a lock for FS next year we should be set.
Which WR #1,2, or 3 they are different animals.

MLB is a need unless you want to roll with Hitchens SAM is a need as well but not as dire. Who Do you have pegged as starters? Lee, Hitchens and Wilson? Wilson has shown nothing. Hitchens is O.K. but I would hate for him to be our starting MLB
I also have Byron Jones locked in at FS. I asked about SS
WR 2

Well if they thinking of drafting a backup QB then they should not even bother.recent comments from Jerry and Stephen indicate that they are looking at a franchise QB.

If we were speaking strictly of a back up then your point is valid, but we are speaking of our next potential franchise player. Not exactly the same thing.

Wilson is a question mark, I am done with the McClain project, time for MLB, really like Myles Jack in this draft. I also like very much Jaylen Smith(bigger OLB) both can cover like no one on our LB squad.

CB is also a great position in this draft with VH III living on the top tier he is press/man accomplished it is a small step down to the next tier so we have no excuse of not improving the DB situation.

SS has so much to choose from in this draft watch the Clemson player Jayron Kearse, lots of others ahead of him.

These are 3 must address positions in my opinion and they might need 2 LB's(especially since Lee misses time) and 2 CB's (If Carr is cut and Mo isn't resigned)

Plus a DT, WR, RB, QB and possibly even RT. I should add if they lose Leary and Bernie they will have to find a Guard.

So many needs and so few picks. Need to sign a couple of FA's and hit on some later picks.

QB- not just a backup, someone to groom
CB- possibly need two
WR- need an explosive speedster
RB- slashing one-cut power back
1T- someone to get Hayden on the bench
LB- possible replacement for McClain

Pretty good list but really until we get past free agency it's hard to nail down what needs addressed in the draft.

I agree but I don't expect a lot of F.A. signings. Usually stop gap types that they hope to upgrade on during the draft.

I should add OG as a possible need depending on what happens with Leary and Bernie. Maybe even DE if Hardy and Mincey aren't brought back.

The more I think about it the more holes appear. This is the reason I hate to draft a QB so early. In a perfect world that no 4 pick would be traded for several picks so that some of these holes can be filled and obviously I'm not just talking about putting bodies in there. The goal should always be to upgrade and improve.
