New Orleans v. San Diego
San Diego gave up on Brees and since he left he has been one of the best QBs in the league. Major grudge game between Brees and the Chargers. It would probably be the most interesting possible story line.
Dallas v. San Diego
Wade Phillips and his history with San Diego, Norv Turner and his history with the Cowboys. Both were up for the Cowboys job. Witten v. Gates, Merriman v. Ware. Olshansky v. his old team.
Dallas v. New England
Team of the 1990's v. team of the 2000's. Two premier QBs. Two of the highest profile teams in the league. Would probably offer the biggest ratings of all the possible matchups.
Philadelphipa v. New York
Rex Ryan going against his Dad's old team. Team of the biggest markets playin against each other.
Arizona v. New England
The losers of the last two Super Bowls going against each other. I don't know if that has ever happened before.
Minnesota v. New York
Not much, but it would be Farve playing against the team he played for last year, who expected him to lead him to the playoffs, going against a rookie with a great defense.
Arizona v. Cincinnati
Two teams often discussed with teams like Cleveland, Oakland, and Detroit as perennial losers with bad owners. One of them would finally come out looking good.
Best NFC Championship Matchups:
Green Bay v. Minnesota
Farve v. the team he will always be tied to.
Green Bay v. Dallas
Just because of the history of the two clubs.
