The #Bucs are releasing DE Mike Johnson, another big-ticket FA signing from last year. Wow. Owed $7M still.

Bucs were the FA Champs last year.....didn't turn out so well for them.

I doubt we go this route, If Lovie is done with him after one season and doesn't need the cap space, I doubt Marinelli will want to work with Johnson

Backup caliber making starter money. One season of 10+ sacks. Every other season was 3-4 sacks. Does stay extremely healthy though. Only missed less than a handful of games his entire career.

Mincey and Lawrence would likely be the starters. Gardner, Boatright, Crawford and Edwards are also on the depth chart.

You do realize that you can make mistakes in the draft as well. If you refuse to spend any money at all in FA it will be crippling when those draft picks miss. That is why we were so mediocre for so long. Our drafts were horrible for the most part.

No matter what happens, I doubt he gets remotely the same kind of money.
