Commanders Down, Cowboys Up Next

You 12s are awesome! Monday’s game looked like we were playing at home! Once again, you guys were able to bring the noise on the road and help us pull off a tight one. The Commanders came ready to play, but we were able to execute our game plan and come out on top. Overall, I am happy with the way we got after it coming off of a bye week. Our preparation window has been shortened this week due to the Monday game and travel, but have been putting in the extra work to make sure we will be on point for the Cowboys come Sunday.
I can’t say this enough, Russell Wilson is the man. It amazes me how dynamic he is behind center. His ability to extend plays with his legs and arm are what makes him one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Marshawn and the running game have also continued to roll and maintain that ‘beast mode’ status. Obviously the main focus for the offensive unit this week has been on cleaning up mental mistakes. These errors took a lot of points off the board on Monday and they are doing a great job of addressing these mistakes.
K.J Wright, Malcolm Smith and Bobby Wagner have been unbelievable this year. Each one of them has played at a high level week in and week out, and have been a huge part in our defensive success. This group did a great job of plugging the run game on Monday night, which is not an easy task when facing a back like Morris. Our main focus is to continually improve tackling and short passing game coverage. Dallas has a lot of offensive weapons and are capable of breaking a big play on any given snap. Dez Bryant is a big homerun threat. We need to make sure we communicate on coverage to keep him blanketed. And what more is there to say about DeMarco Murray.
I hope you 12s are ready for our return to the Clink. We couldn’t be more pumped for the battle that’s ahead of us. We are bringing in a team that is eager to make a statement and walk out with a win. We need you 12s to bring the noise and help us pull this one off.
