He was a coordinator. And it's not as though Ravens Super Bowl Winning HC had much of a resume before he went to the Ravens.

Was a special teams coordinator most of his career before being a defensive backs coach for the Eagles for a whole season. Doesn't really say much. I would say his age is probably the biggest concern.
