This is a crazy stat that will likely change over time but I tried looking up what I considered really good QB's at protecting the ball and compared them to Dak this year. He has a 9-1 TD to INT ratio. That is crazy good. I found a site showing the supposedly best of all time
http://www.footballdb.com/leaders/career-passing-tdintratio
It shows it as:
1. Aaron Rogers - 3.92
2. Russell Wilson - 3.25
3. Tom Brady - 2.94
* this is based on QB's with 1,500 pass attempts.
Dak only has 340 attempts so the law of averages says that his average will come down the more he plays but he is stil way beyond the best QB's in the game. To give us something to compare to he throw for 70 td's in college to 23 interceptions. That is a little over 3 as a ratio. So no matter how you look at it Dak is one of the best QB's in ball security.
In my opinion this is one of the best traits of a QB. As the experts always say, the team with the most turnovers tend to be the team that loses. This is a trait that I hope Dak never loses.
