LSU CB Rashard Robinson is "drawing a lot ofinterest and intrigue from teams," reports TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline.

If you haven't heard of him, don't fret. Robinson hasn't played football since his freshman year in 2013. He was booted off the team and never got back in Les Miles' good graces. "Personnel people from the Oakland Raiders and New York Giants believe Robinson would’ve competed for the top cornerback spot in this year’s draft had he played the past two seasons and built upon his impressive freshman campaign," Pauline wrote. "I’m told he will measure over 6-feet/2-inches and is expected to run the forty in the 4.3’s at the combine. I’ve also been told Robinson has been invited to participate at LSU’s pro-day. As someone told me earlier today teams are willing toroll the dice on tall corners that can run fast as the demand far outstrips the supply. The point being Robinson could be selected much earlier than people project." Feb 12 - 2:15 PM

A. Wow, saying that a kid who you've only seen play as a reserve 2 years ago could be the #1 CB is a pretty huge reach

B. There's no way he really runs a 4.3. Why is it mandatory for every report like this to include some outrageous 40 time?

With that said, we should definitely do our due diligence on him and see what he's about. As we should with all prospects

More idiocy based on metrics.

A. Rashard Robinson started 8 games as a sophomore in 2014...so he has two years in the LSU system before disciplinary issues did him in.

B. He was a starter in 2014 and he locked down Mike Evans in that 2014 game in primarily man coverage.

He is worth a long look

How do you get kicked out of an SEC powerhouse as a starter? I thought it was impossible.

Shermans sucess has everybody wanting a tall corner. This guy doesn't measure up at all and I hope the giants draft him.

Ryan Perrilloux, Tyrann Mathieu and Rashard Robinson. That's three starters from LSU alone. Countless other backups that Miles has booted for indiscretions. CLM don't play.
