I don't think he's close to the level of bad that Murray was. He got some pressure and played his side against the run. He's a solid player when we needed a great one, though. He's more DeMarcus Lawrence than Maxx Crosby, and if anyone was expecting him to be a good substitute for Crosby was expecting too much IMO.

Gary has been a good solid player for his entire career, 6 years. And suddenly you're claiming he sucks? Man, you should examine and analyze more before making silly statements.

If Gary suddenly sucks after being good for 6 years, exactly who is that on?

Looked to me like the only guy that was performing his contain responsibilities on the running plays, all others were crashing the line which left holes.

PFF graded him at 51.1 overall grade, with a 57.7 pass-rush grade and 47.4 run-defense grade. He wasn't bad but he wasn't good. Just kind of middle of the road. Considering how poorly the defense played overall he just kind of fit in. As with the whole defense in general, we should expect an improvement today. Well, we better!

Not really. Gary is consistently solid as a SSOLB.

He wasn't overhyped, he's just not a sackmaster. What you're seeing is that way too many people don't comprehend the difference between SSOLB and WSOLB and expected him to be Parsons part 2. He's not that type of player. He never goes MIA, BTW. Gotta look beyond the sacks.

Where did this come from? Those two players had completely different careers. At least Gary made it to the pro bowl. The closest bowl Ekuban ever came to was the toilet bowl.
