Another guy Jerry Needs to look hard at, Steelers good at finding low round gems.

Oregon defensive tackle Ra'Shon Harris visited the Steelers yesterday. Harris, who is 6-4, 300 pounds, started one season at Oregon and is considered a mid- to late-round draft choice. -- Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

The Boys have shown some interest in Harris... I see him as more of a 3-4 DE than a DT...

If we are going to chase any Oregon player, I'd prefer it be Nick Reed. At 6'1 245lbs he is too light to play the DE on the next level, but he certainly has the speed (4.71) to play ILB at the next level.

A big reason why he would be so intriguing is because the guy simply finds the ball carrier or the QB no matter where they are. In the last two years this are his totals from the DE position ..

2008: 53 tackles, 20 TFL, 13 sacks, 12 QBH, 5 FR, 2 FF

2007: 60 tackles, 22.5 TFL, 12 sacks

In reading up about Reed, it was interesting that Rick Gosselin made a lofty comparison for Reed. The comparison he gave was Tedy Bruschi. The reason being that Bruschi was also a undersized DE from the PAC10 with fantastic pass rushing abilities who had to move to to another position to get his break in the NFL. Bruschi was actually shorter and slower than Reed as well.

Reed is a player who could be fantastic value about the 5th round.

Just read up on him.

Very interesting.

Extremely productive football player.

Maybe he's the type Wade/JJ will take a punt on later on in the Draft. I think he's about the same size as B James was coming out of college as well.
