I usually just read everyone else's thoughts/plans, but I wanted to post one of my own and get your opinions.

I'm only going thru the 2nd round of the draft because i'm not interested in predicting later round picks.

1st- Sign Finnegan or Carr

2nd - Sign one of the experienced Free Agent Centers I keep reading about like Koppen or Wells.

3rd - Draft DeCastro in the 1st

4th- Draft CB in the 2nd (Boykin or someone of that caliber)

You have the rest of the draft to build on your defense.
You've dramatically improved both your o-line and your secondary.
Spencer's tagged so you're not drafting his immediate replacement.
And your ILB's will be a lot quicker this season replacing James/Brooking.

We'll need a veteran safety, and a starting-capable veteran ILB, too, but the later can be found in the bargain bin. Otherwise, this is probably exactly what I'd do if given the choice. I'd also consider taking a pressure player in the first and OG in the second and hoping one of the CBs is there for me in the third.

No Dline help?

you have the 3rd round and up for that. No one in free agency to look at right now, and you're not gonna spend an early pick on D-Line right now.

If we sign Carr, there is no need to draft a CB in the 2nd. We'd have Jenkins, Carr, and Scandrick.

Use the 2nd for Dline help.

For this year, yeah, but Jenkins is in a contract year. I hope the team drafts a corner in the 2nd or 3rd round to groom, especially if Jenkins isn't re-signed.

I'm not saying not draft one at all, but the 2nd is too early. DLine is more important at that point.

I would rather draft:

1. Cox
2. Brooks

In FA sign Carr, TracyPorter and Mike Adams.

OL: Smith, Holland, Nagy, Arkin or Killa at center, Brooks, Free.

DL: Cox, Brent, Ratliff (Hatcher, Lissmore, Spears in rotation)

Secondary: Jenkins, Carr, Porter, Scandrick, Sensy, Adams

This is the direction I expect to see Garrett go. I would offer, at this point in time, that we take a safety like Harrison Smith in the second instead of a CB. With Carr and Jenkins, CB won't be as pressing a need as safety. Don't forget, they plan on letting Elam walk.

Seems like a great start. I personally would rather have carr. We have so many holes it will be difficult to address them all adequately in one offseason. Add some big uglies in the 3rd and up and I would be happy.

Wouldn't be unhappy at all. Love the FA plan. I'd go pass rusher, DL, DB OL in the first depending on FA acquisitions. But I would be happy the way ur going.

Forget the D-line. If we fix the OL we should be able to play keep away long enough to win

I thought this was going to begin with a drive to san Fernando valley...but your talking about a different type of amateur jk
