Based on potential , Impact and just cause you like daggone like them. Now that I’ve had a chance to be a unpaid YouTube scout. For me.

9. Covington
8. Wilson
7. Armstrong
6. Shultz
5. Scarbrough
4. White
3. Gallup
2. LVE
1. Williams

1 Williams
2 Gallup
3 LVE
4 Armstrong
5 Shultz
6 Covington
7 Wilson
8 White
9 Scarbrough

White and Scarbrough are practice squad guys. Shultz, Covington and Wilson are competing at thin positions. Armstrong is boom or bust but could be a starter next year easily. If we include Tavon in there I’d put him after LVE and before Armstrong.

9. Covington (***? 'They can't all be zingers', right? But this one baffles me)
8. Scarbrough (Better options available and this guy likes to run like a battering ram but has durability issues. Great combo. Point blank: We already have a more well-rounded and, arguably, better version of this guy on the roster in Rod Smith.)
7. Armstrong (Questionable pick. Considering the needs on defense at DT and safety, and the bodies/picks we've thrown at DE, I feel this was not the best value for the pick #116 nor pairing w/the highest need. They're banking on his projection of the 2016 version more than 2017. Maybe he's a combination of both? We'll see.)
6. Schultz (okay floor for late rd players but could have a decent ceiling if he is utilized as a 2-dimensional TE? This is another 'wait and see' like Armstrong, but this was a bigger need than DE so I ranked him higher)
5. White (good value at a position that needs competition)
4. LVE (big need and his value is based on very big projection in position that was high demand/low supply in the draft)
3. Williams (need/value. Solid pick.)
2. Wilson (strongest value in the draft, IMO, that I believe will present itself in TC/preseason)
1. Gallup (need/big value, best chance to outshine all draftees year-1. My pet cat WR behind DJ Moore. )

This is rather a mind**** of effort on my willing expenditure,,, but ily venture a statement of:
#2 being the most notably noticed.
#3 being the 'flash of flinch' before the flaming of fire,,,,* an ol' flintlock shooters term
#1 will be a golden gleaming obelisk of gargantuan pillard power, that the fan faithful will drawn far& ner' to pay homage unto,,,:starspin::thumbup::starspin:

White or Scarborough will not make the practice squad especially with a decent showing in preseason.

Which of Covington's game did you watch?

If you watched the same ones I did, then we should discuss...

1. LVE, he helps the most right away
2. Williams, could be 1, but he is a huge upgrade to an already strong unit
3. Gallup, can help in an era that a WR needs to step up.

After that, it is all up in the air.

4. Covington, since we need LB's, he may make the team by default
5. Schultz, since we need competition at TE
6. Armstrong, only be cause we need help on D over the rest of the players selected
7. White, as we need competition at back up QB, and see if something is there if Dak fails
8. Scarbrough, I see as a PS player, as even possibly some of the 4 above. But we need RB depth over WR
9. Wilson, another PS guy, as we have a lot of WR right now.

9. Covington -- generally not rated draftable. likely a special teams stud but could easily be a PS guy or mere cut.
8. Armstrong -- comes in at a really deep position and is in that 4th round area where he won't get free pass year 1. If cut for PS this pick will look really bad.
7. Wilson --adding Austin in trade and drafting Gallup makes this WR about draft value but the team now has a lot of them.
6. Shultz -- good value and Cowboys type TE far more than Goedert ever was. but non pass catching TEs aren't going to challenge for all-rookie teams.
5. Scarbrough-- this is fit meeting need to a tee. this is a one dimensional back but that comes in with a role and created a beans and rice style pairing with this OL
4. White -- good values are hard to get at QB.last good value QB Dallas drafted was Dak Prescott....
3. Williams -- good value who will likely be 5th best Cowboys OL day 1 and then grow into a plus player. insane upside for local kid with great taste in states and music.
2. LVE -- perhaps a small reach on many boards but ideal fit for dallas. 3 down backer that's raw as rain but with all pro upside.
1. Gallup -- very complete wr. could easily argue he's going to end up the best WR in this class.

presumably you mean WILL.

I believe Scarborough is safe as can be.
He's a 4th RB perhaps in name but with Austin and Rod Smith being key special teamers; that also play other positions in many ways, Scarborough is RB2 towards the 54.
I expect Dallas ro carry 4 RB with
1. Zeke
2. Rod Smith (Full Back 2 as well)
3. Austin (depth WR and returner)
4. Scarborough. Short yardage back who may be inactive on some/many game days.

Can't argue against this, however, can Olawale be the FB, and he can run the ball as much as Scarbrough can, and catch the ball as well. Therefore, Scarbrough to the PS. Who would be the better overall fit to help the team this year. I think Olawale at this point. We will see in TC. Then I will revisit this.

Olawale is FB1 but he is also costs real money.
I have him making the team as of now but he'll have to prove he can really help this team.

I think Scarborough is a very safe bet to make the team, but may be inactive on game days.
May actually look like this.
RB1: Zeke
RB2: RSmith
RB3: Scarborough --short yardage guy for sure

Scat back: Austin

FB: Olawale.

A lot will depend on new look offensive sets.
Without Witten and Bryant we may see lots of changes including more H-Back stuff and lots more Wingback/Scat back stuff.
Could see Noah Brown play a split TE position as well.
