I agree somewhat with @Juggernaut in that the film is kind of a low budget version of Ex Machina but in that it does not go nearly as deep as the Alicia Vikander's movie does. It does touch upon the never-ending question whether an artificial humanoid being is truly human but only enough to fit the dark comedy's plot.

Glad to finally see Sophie Thatcher in something else. I saw her in Heretic, was a little impressed, and thought she could do more. She does here. Very believable. And carries the movie from start to finish DESPITE Jack Quaid being Jack Quaid as usual.

Quaid is a chip off his father's block. He is rarely does a part where his role-playing does not have him a tiny bit neurotic and uncertain of himself in some way. His father does not play similar roles but they have similar acting styles in that they always seem to play like they would as real versions of themselves--even though I do not think they are not really like the roles they usually play in real life.

I found myself predicting many plot twists in the movie. Not in a boring way but in a 'I know this or that character deserves what I think will happen to them' sort of way. I tend to fall into that routine watching slasher movies. This time it was more fun because of the sarcastic nature of each new event.
I do not know if I just did not pay attention to the name or just did not put it together, however I had no clue he was the son of Dennis Quaid.

Although he may never be known as Oscar award winning type of actor.
I think I have enjoyed most things I have seen him in.

Meh.
I liked Beekeeper although it was nothing earth shattering.
This one I just did not get into.
He generally plays the same role on in most of his movies and for the most part they are ok for what they are. However every so often he puts out one that I just do not care for. This one and The Wrath of man fit that bill.

Liked the first one better as it was a little fresher and you got the back story to it.
This one had a little more heart or humor scenes in it but just not as good as the first one IMO

Has anyone seen "Dangerous" with Scott Eastwood? I caught it last night and I enjoyed it. Eastwood, son of Clint, does a pretty good job playing the sociopathic killer. It's not a great movie but I found it entertaining. I'd give it a 6.5 or 7 out of 10.

Looked/sounded like it is another The Deep remake like into the blue the first was very good for the time and into the blue was not bad for what it was.

This Into the Deep....only took about 10 minutes in to realize this was going to be a serious stinker. I had to look up and see if Richard Dreyfuss was in the early stages of parkinsons or some other medical issue. Not making fun of the situation but the way he was doing his lines looked like there was some medical issues or he was stoned out of his mind.

Been on another Guy Ritchie kick. Just bought Rock N Rolla to add to the online collection

As much as i love a good deal of movies, he does make some stinkers like his King Arthur movie, The movie he made for his, at the time girlfriend, Madonna. For me this movie just does not work for me. I like the main actors, the director but I just cannot get into this movie. To be fair he does take directing jobs of projects that he does not write, more main stream stuff. Either way, could not get into it.

I love movies that are about portions of WWII. This is one of those movies about someone being in a resistance group in norway vs the *****. It is the true story of a man who had top secret information that he needed to get to the allied forces. Problem was the ***** were after him. He was wet from the landing on the beach. It was winter with snow and ice and he lost a shoe so one foot exposed and he got shot in the foot.

Just a long struggle where he had to make his way from Norway to Sweeden while being hurt, freezing, hungry and avoiding the ***** looking for him. Tad slow in a few spots but if you like WWII movies I think you will like this one.
