He didn't measure "most watched," he ranked the "most watchable" games each week before the games. This list is his year-end compilation.
In other words, if the Cowboys were playing a bad team, he probably didn't rank the game as very "watchable." But you can bet it was among the most-watched games that weekend.
Well thats just stupid then...
So, the Colts were initially most watchable because they were superbowl champs, I'm pretty sure Week 4: Colts vs. Broncos, and Week 5: Colts vs. Buccaneers are hardly "most watched." I also assume our lowest "watchable" game Week 13: Cowboys vs. Jets was still watched as it is a Thanksgiving Day game.
The Commanders having more "watchable" games means they played more big name teams then we did. Even still, playing the Vikings before Adrian Peterson busted out and when the game has playoff implications is more valuable then playing the vikings and getting higher ratings.
It is based on nothing but personal preference...ugh. The writer should use his media credentials and get nielson data and compile a worthwhile list. I'd do it if I had access to numbers. Been googling, can't find anything except the official "top 10" of the week and "USA todays ratings."
