Ratliff chat on NFL.COM

Jay Ratliff, Dallas Cowboys
I played the last three years with bad elbows. It was kept quiet because I never talked to anybody about it. When I told the trainers, nobody knew how serious it was until I asked them to do an X-Ray and they saw the bone spurs. ... Today was the first day that I benched press in two years, and it felt good. No pain at all. So I am excited about that

 how do you say so strong and not bench for 2 years.

That's pretty remarkable if true. Maybe he's exaggerating a little. Maybe he's been doing chest work on machines and such taking the stress off of his elbows.

That could be the case, or we may be in for a huge HUGE season

I've asked three questions and none of gone through.

However "why are you so awesome" was asked.

What a waste of a question.

Ratliff has been promoting this chat on his FB and twitter accts for days. These were prolly asked days ago.

What's up, Jay?? From what you've seen of this year's draft class, how do you like who we have on the defensive side of the ball (Lee, Ansah, Wall, Lissemore)?

I like all of those guys, especially Lee and Lissemore. I heard great things about Lee in OTAs, and seeing him in minicamp he was going full speed with no pads on and blood was dripping from his forehead. That tells you everything you need to know about him. If he ever needs anything, I will be there to help him. ... Lissemore has a great motor and the mentality to match it. He's gonna learn and get better. That's all you ever want to see.

That's good to hear.

That pretty much goes for any chat. I have no idea who moderates these things but they are usually full of some of the more inane questions you could possibly imagine. I suppose they try to keep things light and not too deep.

I see Lissemore as a Ratliff clone. I bet he'll be one of those high motor defensive ends like Kyle Van Den Bosch.

I asked all types of questions.

Tried the idiot way by asking what games he's playing on XBOX Live lately.

Also tried the serious question by asking him what impact he though Brooking brought last season.

Neither worked. Those moderators suck.
