Ratliff Returns

I was a little perplexed when I saw Matt Forte play against us....2 weeks after his high ankle sprain

But Rattlif has been out since the end of the pre-season.

Forte is quite a bit lighter, less weight pressure on the ankle. Also, Forte doesn't have 300+ pounders smothering him all game, play after play.

Also, as seen with TO, some players heal faster than others.

You speak of the Super Bowl as though it's a foregone conclusion. I haven't been on here in a while, so did I miss something?

From my view, will be lucky to actually make the play offs.

Clearly you haven't read my other posts because I don't have much hope we can even make the playoffs let alone the Super Bowl. I'm simply stating that is the goal here in Dallas. We've sucked for far too long. We need to win a damn Super Bowl already. Do whatever it takes to get it done. That's the goal and if we don't get it done again it's just another failed season for the Cowboys.

I hate even responding to some of this drivel because it gives it a sense of credibility when it deserves zero...

But Lovie Smith pointed out a few days after Forte's injury that it was NOT a high ankle sprain.

He's not as good as he once was but he's as good once as he ever was. I think that's the philosophy for this scenario and I think it IS a blessing in disguise. It's allowed him to heal and rest and be less drained at the end of the year ALSO it's forced us to take a long hard look at the players behind him and think that we can trust them to spell Rat for longer periods of time.

Ratliffs return is HUGE. QB's will no longer be able to climb the pocket on us as Cutler did most of the game.

Would be so happy to see him out at end instead of NT...

Brents play will allow us to attack with ratt more. Im excited to see him used as a weapon again.
