Surely you can't be that naïve.
I am not challenging what you said, I have never heard it before, so i wanted to read the story that would suggest or point to this being the problem

First, note that I used the words "I think", so this is my conjecture, but it makes sense.

Most NFL players, especially those who play in the box, are on PEDs. (Just look at them when they retire; they shrink to nothing.) Drugs like these notoriously effect moods of players, making them very aggressive and unpredictable.

Jay Ratliff was the leader of this defense for years. He was the heart and soul of the team and very close to Jerry. Then, injuries set in. He had a tough time staying on the field. Often, players resort to even heavier PED usage to get on the field, a la Barry Bonds, ARod, and countless others. This can sour their personalities even further, making them impossible to be around.

Suddenly, Ratliff turned into one of the sorriest guys that ever played here. Extremely combative with the organization, the media, and several players on the team. He turned into an ***. It made no sense after watching the positive, all-in, happy guy we had grown to love around here. If he was bipolar, that should have surfaced a long time ago.

Just my opinion.

So in other words, no, you don't have any sources that would responsibly lead to that opinion. So because he is having some emotional issues, he must be using PEDs. Gotcha.
