Ratliff didn't want to be here, so **** him

If that was the only thing then I wouldn't despise him like I do.

He could have gotten out after his rookie deal but elected to sign an extension. He didn't like that extension and could have just rode it out and left but instead he reupped again.

You cannot trust him to honor his deals.

Spencer, Ratliff, Hatcher and Spencer could have been a beast of a line last year if they had all been healthy...

Spencer's so good he's playing both LDE and RDE?!

I'm sure you meant Ware, and yeah, that was the dream for a while - I can't believe we never even got to see that line for a single game.

Was it a money issue? I heard it was a trust issue, but Ratliff was always a bit of an ***.

I'm also pretty sure the reason we never had a true NT in the 3-4 D was because Ratliff made it clear he didn't want to play DE.

I'm just not sure it was a money issue since Jerry made the ridiculous decision to give the guy a raise when he had a couple of years left on his deal anyway.

there has been innuendo that he did not trust the teams medical staff and refused to let him diagnose and treat him. I have always been skeptical of that line considering how he miraculously recovered just as he was released. I have litte doubt in my mind he was dogging it.

whether it was money or trust he still signed two extensions he didn't have to.

I agree it would have been insane if Spencer could play both ends at the same time.

;)
