What if Jason Garrett accepted Baltimore's offer last winter to become the Ravens' head coach?

"We'd be 5-11,
" Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti said during the team's season-ending press conference before breaking into a big laugh. "No, I'm kidding. I'm teasing."

But Bisciotti, who must have really enjoyed the Ravens' slamming the Texas Stadium doors closed, was completely serious during a later chat with reporters when asked again about Garrett.

"I thought that was an odd situation he was putting himself when he went back, regardless of his success," said Bisciotti, whose team went to the AFC championship game under coach John Harbaugh. "This year, I thought that was an odd situation. When I realized that I was competing against him doing nothing, I think it was telling to me. You know, I'm happy where I am. Things happen for a reason."

On an unrelated note, Bisciotti isn't too worried about rumors that the Cowboys want Ray Lewis.

Jason Garrett -- laughing stock of the NFL.

and a year ago he could have written his own ticket.

the only thing garret proves is far too many people have no long term vision.

Well, I didn't want the guy from day one, so what does that prove about me?

It was up until Lehman was allowed to fall, but I wouldn't expect you to understand what that had to do with anything.

Hindsight is always 20/20. That idiot would be saying something a lot different had their season ended the way it did the season before OR would have put the best 'Spin' on it that he could.

I can understand Mr Bisciotti feeling and acting like a scorned beyotch. When you offer someone the HC of your franchise and get turned down, that's tough.
It makes you look like a fool to a certain extent. NLF HC job offers are seldom turned down flat!

Now as far as holding a grudge against Garrett and the Cowboys, understandable. And taking satisfaction in beating the Cowboys, very understandable.

But saying you believe your team would be 5-11 under Garrett only speaks to the fact that you were DUMB ENOUGH TO OFFER HIM THE JOB, YOU MORON.

The correct answer to that question is "who's to say what would have happened, but I'm happen with how things turned out and the job Spags did."

Anything derogatory in reference to Garrett just don't make sense since as I said you offered him the job. You freaking Rich Head!

He's entitled to feel good about his choice and how it turned out, but how about a little class? I know this, he could very well be 5-11 next year and if the Cowboys rebound, Jason Garrett may again be the hot commodity.

There is an old rule that our parents and grandparents used to swear by. Be nice to people on your way up, because these are the same people you will have to deal with on your way down.

He shouldn't be gloating. The Browns have new leadership. He had three cracks at the Steelers and couldn't beat them. His defensive coordinator is gone. They will not make the playoffs next year. I bet they are one of the teams on the outside when things shakeup.
