RAW 1000 thread.

Rock looks like he has lost some weight. He was great at the 1000 show as well.

Rock looks to be in better shape now than he was when he was wrestling full-time. I hardly recognized him in some of those old clips.

Lesnar segment was the highlight of the night. Wasn't a bad show but expected more out of a 3 hour show.

Edge is out of contract, which is why he didn't appeal.

I didn't miss Edge at all. Too much other stuff going on.

And glad that Brock got into shape but more importantly they let the other guy do the talking for him. He is awful at that.

It was an "eh" show. Not bad, biggest pops were for the legends of the attitude era.. as per usual. The only way they can draw big anymore is by bringing back old guys. WWE has gone to poop.

Which is why it's still on TV (twice a week now) and millions of people watch and some buy the monthly PPW's.

How many people watch something isn't evidence of the quality of the product.

Wasn't Jersey Shore one of the most popular shows on television (or still is)?

Yea.. rest my case.

A. You never said one single word about the quality of the product.
B. Jersey Shore was never one of the most popular show on television.
C. You never made any case but you can still rest all you want. :)

When i said "the WWE has gone to poop", i was referring to the quality of their shows. Apoligies if you didn't catch that.

EDIT: I could also show you several ratings of days that new episodes where Jersey Shore aired, where it topped the rankings of any show on cable tv. Hell even the repeats of the new episodes normally get more viewers than any other cable show. If you didn't see that it became one of the most popular shows on television, again.. sorry you didn't catch that.

Freakin Snooki makes more than 100,000 dollars an episode now.. you think she'd make that much if the show hadn't become crazy popular in our society? They get 8 to 9 million viewers for the new episodes.. its ridiculous.

Hell, come to think of it, that show is the basis for the creation of the Zach Ryder character in the WWE! lol

Who is, even though he's awful, one of the most popular guys everytime he gets face time.

Go figure, huh? :)

I don't know if you are right or wrong.

I was too busy watching RAW to find out. :)

Segment was good but it certainly wasn't the highlight. Everything involving Punk or Rock was far better but to each their own.

I would have liked to have seen Edge but I'm not completely shocked by that. He had a lot of great moments on RAW but I think more people probably identify with him far more as a Smackdown guy so it's not as big a deal to have not come to come agreement with him to have him on the show.

Would have been cool but wasn't really needed.

Ryder isn't awful in any manner. He's hilarious.

The guy cracks me up because of how over the top dumb his character is and how much of a funny mock it is on the idiots from the Jersey Shore.

Btw for those that didn't know Austin had knee surgery and was still. on crutches when raw 1000 was airing and as you know there was no way Austin was limping down to the ring eve if it was for raw 1000. He made the decision to to show not the wwe forgetting him

Yeah I heard a couple days after the show that he missed because of a recent knee surgery. That's too bad because he definately should have been on the show.

20 years later and he's still the WWF/WWE's biggest draw, haha.
