Right now, I'm just throwin' things against the wall and seeing what sticks..... :)

1A. Limas Sweed WR Texas (6-4 215) - didn't get his chance to shine this year because of the wrist injury
1B. Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon (5-10 230) - dropped because of the foot surgery
2. Patrick Lee CB Auburn (6-0 195)
3. Red Bryant NT Texas A&M (6-5 330)
4. Josh Johnson QB San Diego (6-3 200)
5. Traded to Titans for Adam "Pacman" Jones
6. Zack Bowman CB Nebraska (6-0 195)
7. Jerimichael Finley H-Back/TE Texas (6-5 240)

As good a mock as any I've seen so far... but I still believe that the Boys will peddle one of their first rounders for a veteran WR, and if they do, I don't see them drafting any wideouts, unless it's in the 6th or 7th round, and the draftee can return kicks too...

Doesn't mean I don't like Limas Sweed, I'm a fan of his... I'd rather have Roy Williams, though...

I definitely like getting Josh Johnson in the 4th. Lots of the mocks have had us going DT. Maybe it's just me, but I don't see that at all. Otherwise we'd have simply hung on to Fergy.

I just don't think you take a QB in the 4th, the year after you gave your QB a franchise deal. You probably play around with vet backups and undrafted FA's for a couple of years before you bring in the next guy. Maybe you hit, if not, not too much invested so not much lost.

It'd be like the Steelers drafting a QB in the early 2nd day after they just gave Ben his deal.

The team that drafted Josh will probably wanted to see him on the field within the next two to three years. He'd never have that opportunity here.

If you bring in Josh, you'd have to sign him to what, like an 8 year deal? If you sign him to the usual 3 years for a guy taken at that spot, unless it's restricted, he'll be gone anyway and you'll have nothing to show for your time, money or efforts.

I like it, very plausible, only problems I see is I think Bryant os off the board by our 3rd orund pick, I love Johnson in round 4, and I have Bowman as a late 3rd rounder myself and can't see him being anywhere near the 6th round!
Other than that I love it!

zach bowman hasn't played since 05 yet you think he is worth a 3rd pick when he is projecting 7

I don't like Sweed i'd rather have Thomas, Hardy, Kelly. If we don't get one of those 3 then we wait for like Bennett, Royal, Jackson. Honestly i don't think stewart toe injury will push him down to 28th if we pass on him at 22 he won't be there for 28. Patrick Lee could be had in the 5th round i would prefer us to go Reggie Smith if we don't go corner in the 1st round.

We'd have the best TRIO of C.B.'s in the NFL bar none with Pacman, so I Can't see us wasting a 1st rounder on a C.B.!
Round 2 or 3 or both, sure, but not round 1, unless DRC falls, then a slight maybe.

No doubt! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a deal will be worked out before or on draft day for Roy-WR!

I've fallen for the Johnson kid. I think he's going to develop into a player, but it'll take 3-4 years just like Romo.

I'd love to get a NT in the draft, start Tank at NT, and slide Ratt to LDE to take over for Spears.

Yeah but I want to start developing another QB this year cuz you never know with injuries down the line. With the young talent we've assembled, we can afford to draft a QB fairly high and start the development process early. IF Johnson develops and Romo is as good as ever, we could still recoup at least a fourth for Johnson (look what happened w/ Schaub, sp?, in Atlanta) when his deal is up in 4 years (yeah, I'd draft him contingent on him signing a 4 year deal instead of the usual 3).....

Thanks! I played around w/ several mocks and the top CBs (McKelvin, DRC, Jenkins) kept getting drafted before our 22nd pick. I have Sweed/Malcolm Kelly rated higher than Talib, Reggie Smith, Flowers, and Cason so I went w/ Sweed at #22. At #28, I had Jonathan Stewart available so I went w/ him because I felt he was the better value than the said CBs. That's how I ended up w/ a CB in the 2nd.....

Man, I really hope Bryant "falls" to us in the 3rd. He'd be great in Wade's defense, imo. Agreed about J. Johnson! I also really like Bowman but w/ two serious knee injuries, I just have a feeling teams will pass on him until the 5th-6th round area.....

I think Lee is underrated. Has all the physical abiulities you'd want but he's as raw as anyone. Still, reports say he's a hard worker so I love the combination of god-given abilities and hard-work. He'll be a player if he has that work ethic as reported.....

Quick question, why do you have us taking Patrick Lee so early? Last I heard, he was projected as a 2nd day pick, and not even an early one.

There' fluctuation about Lee but I think he's rising.
Hard worker combined w/ top notch abilities makes him worthy in the 2nd to me.....

I really havent seen anyone project him as a 2nd day pick...it might happen but its doubtful...almost every guide I've seen has him projected as a 2nd or 3rd rd pick...he only started one yr at Auburn and thats one reason it seems the rank and file knows nothign about him...but he was outstanding last yr

Even if we trade for Pacman, we should still go CB in the first round. That is clearly our weakest position and I don't trust Pacman to stay clean. Our team is too good to put all our eggs in Pacman's basket. We have nothing behind TNew and Henry remember.

Stewart isn't lasting until 28 if we pass on him at 22 there are a bunch of teams that will look to get up and take him before 28 comes around.
