Ray Lewis

I think if you think that we are going to go anywhere near him then you haven't been paying attention for some time.

I'd rather go young through the Draft and build long term chemistry.

long term chemistry is real difficult with the salary cap...

i say for a year or 2 ray lew would be a great fit

Tell that to the Steelers.

I hear what you're saying and don't agree.

there are obviously exceptions...but look at SF this year...derek smith and julian peterson will most likeley be gone b/c of the cap

they are probably gonna have 2 new starting LBs next year, regardless of the record the chemistry will be gone

Peterson will be gone because his price tag doesn't match his productivity.

Oh yeah -- and when was the last time the Cowboys could keep a player because of the cap? Not since we lost Randall Godfrey. And that was a long long time ago.

The cap only keeps you from building chemistry if you throw money at guys that are way past their prime - especially when they are bad guys. Kinda like Ray Lewis.

Yep..lets draft them or find a young fa with upside to fill the lb positions..I do not think Ray is a bad guy anymore..some players do learn from their stupidity and then make a difference by pouring themselves into younger guys to help them avoid the same mistakes..Ray has changed for the better but is not a good fit for where we are and are going!!!

I'd love to have Lewis' passion and leadership on the team, but he's a bit too injury prone nowadays.

I wouldn't expect him to play like he has in the past, but if he could stay healthy I wouldn't mind having him for a year or two. One thing missing from our defense is emotion, and Lewis would bring some of that.

I'm not thrilled with the prospect of having Lewis on our team. But Rack is right. He would bring passion and fire to a group that sorely needs it.

Our defenses have been lacking a firey leader since Haley left. With such a young team, I think signing a guy that can "teach" Ware, Spears, Canty, and Roy to lead would be a good thing.

Hate to break the bank though.

No to Ray Lewis. Need to keep getting younger. No more waste of money old players that don't live up to their expectations.

He has nothing to give the Cowboys that we couldn't find better and cheaper somewhere else.

Bad guy??? Ray Lewis is nothing but a nice guy, if you don't know a person then why would you assume he's "bad" and yes I know him through my football years.

Being accessory to murder might give people that idea.

You can't help the actions of others around you, so he did nothing wrong oh well...the guy popped off at the mouth anyways.

Did I misread this, or did you really just type that? I mean, by 'the guy' are you talking about the murder victim, or is this an incomplete thought referring to Ray Lewis? I guess it's an incomplete thought in either event.

Oh, and you can help the actions of others around you. You can also control whom you hang with, and where, and why.

he popped off so he deserved to be murdered and for lewis to obstruct justice and help the killers?

Enough growing pains. We need playoffs.
We are getting there. Rebuilding process is only....gosh last year was the first big rebuilding year for BP. Lets see....it took the Steelers over 25 years before they won another super bowl.
