I've read reports that he is looking to be traded. Does anyone know if he is due a large roster bonus in March that will intice Baltimore to release him if he doesn't restructure?

Does anyone know what the situation is there?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I know that the kid they have who played in his spot while he was injured was lights out. I have read rumors that he would like to go elsewhere. I have also read that Baltimore is shopping him for draft picks and they have recieved at best a second round offer in return. Other than that I don't know a thing.
I do think he would be a great addition to the defense if we could somehow get hold of him w/o giving up a first day pick or breaking the bank. With Dat's impending retirement he would not only be able to replace Dat but he could be the heart and soul of a young group of up and coming linebackers that would instantly become very Pittsburg Steelerish in the level of talent we have in our linebacking unit.

Any team that gives a 2nd round pick for Ray Lewis is extrememly foolish. He wants a pay raise and isn't the same player he used to be.

I agree on both counts but, I would bet that he is still good enough that other teams need to keep his presence accounted for. His gameday preperations are also legendary. H ecould really show our young linebackers how to succeed in the NFL.

For a 2nd round pick we could have Kai Parham. Lewis is not the player he was. Pass.

If he still hangs around night clubs, I don't think Parcells would want him.

Whatever it is, I really don't want to have to watch that godawful pregame dance he does every week. That alone is worth passing on him.

Lewis would be the vet that the lb corp really needs, now that Dat seems to be gone

Alright, first thing first ...Lewis is not coming to Philadelphia. However, I've Been wrong "once" before;)

If the Eagles were to acquire Ray Lewis, many of the fans over at my other place believe that J. Johnson would put Lewis in the middle (because he's a little faster than Trotter), and place trotter as Will.

But I'm saying ...it ain't gonna happen. You Guys probably have a better shot.

Trying to transform this into some Eagles message board again?

I think the Eagles would put Trotter at the SAM backer, he doesn't have the speed he once used to, but is still mega stout against the run and can blitz a little. I actually think Lewis has more range than Trotter. Putting Trotter at the WILL would be the last thing I'd do.

Actually, I'm doing more than you are by contributing dialogue to the topic; your only purpose seems to be chatting with me about something unrelated to Ray Lewis.

Don't worry about me; do you have anything to contribute to this discussion?

Maybe, but again, it won't happen.

LOL. OK, you in no way, shape or form answered any of the questions posed at the beginning of this thread, rather chose to go on a tangent about how the Eagles WON'T be pursuing Lewis. I know as a Cowboys fan, I was thrilled with that useless bit of information. ;)

But, if you want solid info....it seems Ray-Ray wants a pay extension. The Ravens signed him to his current deal, assuming it would be the deal he retired under, but Lewis apparently wants one more big pay day before his retirement. So, Ray has put out notice that he wants to be traded. t is believed, that unless someone offers at least a second, the Ravens will not part with him.

Sounds very familiar; now where have I heard that before? Is there an echo in Here here here...

Your
solid info
is nothing more than a compilation of things that have already been said. Yeah you're full of it ...saavy that is!

Fortunately mine actually had something to do with the questions posed in this thread, rather than just being a response about how another team WON'T be pursuing Lewis. But, my apologies for not taking the time to cross-reference my post with all preceding posts to make sure I didn't repeat anything.

Here's the initial question ... Does anyone know if he is due a large roster bonus in March that will intice Baltimore to release him if he doesn't restructure?

With all due respect to this thread ...unless you are privy to the Baltimore Ravens GM, or have some other inside source, that information is probably going to be extremely confidential -- thereby making your initial question somewhat Impossible to answer at this juntcure! That's Ray Lewis' private Information that I'm sure only he, his agent and a short list of Raven's Management know. So how are you supposed to answer that kind of question? Among your obvious talents, are you also Ray's agent?

Do you always think "inside" the Box!? Listen, #1 my contribution, while obvioisly focused on a different franchise than Your own, gave a different perspective than the basic topic quuestion ...you can only say that Ray Lewis wants a raise, but so many times before it becomes painfully boring.

Hence, outside the box, in this instance, is considered "the next steps."

But, my apologies for not taking the time to cross-reference my post with all preceding posts to make sure I didn't repeat anything.

You don't have to apologize for not reading your own Cowboy member's posts; just be available for criticism and move on!;)

With all due respect, speculative information on what a rival team is NOT going to do, is always painfully boring, and would probably be best recieved on said team's message board, don'tcha think? :)

It's all good. Feel free to post more and more Iggles info on a Cowboys board. I'm sure someone's interested. ;)

Are predictions about 2006 NFCE standings speculative; if so, are you saying Zone predictions about who the Cowboys will select during the draft boring? I'd tend to differ with you about that.

There you go stating the obvious again ...I've already made that decision. But I gaurantee it will not be boring!

What is the name of this site? CowboysZone? Seems like that sort of speculation about the Cowboys, would be welcome here. But by all means, continue to draw ridiculous comparisons....My
