The one where they act like Roy is a good receiver for this season.

Then next season after he gets cut they will have nothing good to say about him. Every Cowboy player is good, and any time someone has something negative to say about one they don't know what they're talking about.

That agenda.

It's all good though. This is a Cowboys board. I fully expect people to have blinders on when it comes to criticism. Every team board is like that.

Some folks don't even WANT Roy to play better this year... they've made up their mind that they want him gone... they think that he can't play, completely ignoring that in his first 4 seasons with the Lions, in 55 games played he had 255 receptions, for 3652 yards and 28 TDs... that's a 16 game average of just under 75 catches, for just over 1060 yards and 8 TDs...

That's the receiver that Jerry traded for, and some of the fans in here act like that receiver never existed... he has become their designated scapegoat, and they want him gone, period...

Now me, I was in favor of trading for him right from the start, and while I'm perplexed at his lack of production for the Boys, I know he still has the kind of potential he showed with the Lions... oh, with Witten, Austin and now Bryant on board, he isn't likely to ever match his career best of 82 catches for 1310 yards, but on the other hand, if the injury bug bit, and he was needed to be the feature receiver, I still say those numbers wouldn't be out of the question... but with good health to the other receivers, I could still see him putting up 60 catches in this offense, this season...

But like I say, Roy is this year's designated scapegoat, and some people just seem to want him gone... their hatred of the guy borders on irrational...

Actually, the prevailing agenda in here is the exact opposite, that he's a bum and basically useless, thus he should be cut before the Boys even think about trading Crayton or Hurd...

I'm one of the few who doesn't subscribe to that agenda, I believe he's still the same receiver who put up damn fine numbers in Detroit... I just think that from the time he got here, he got to pressing, because playing in Dallas was his dream come true, and the more he pressed, the more he struggled... the more he struggled, the more he pressed...

It became a vicious cycle for him, until finally a player who'd always had a rep for having VERY good hands was one of the league leaders in dropped passes... and y'know, I find it hard to believe that out of the blue, for no reason at all, a guy with reliable hands suddenly turned into stone hands...

If I was Romo and Garrett, I'd target Roy early and often this season, try to get him off to a fast start... man, with Dez and Miles and Jason, if we can get something resembling the old Roy, our passing attack would be positively LETHAL...

He's never caught a high percentage of passes though. Last year he didn't even catch half of them.

Honestly, I think he only has a couple of things holding him back though.

He runs poor routes, and he has lapses in concentration (I say lapses in concentration instead of poor hands, because he actually has good hands, he just loses focus due to pressing too hard).

Drew Pearson also thinks he's too upright off the line, which makes it hard for him to get off the line.

I do think he's better than he has shown, but I don't think him and Romo are a good fit, and ultimately that is all that matters.

But hopefully he can turn it around. I just don't see it happening though because he hasn't been able to do it yet.

I don't mind using him as a red zone target though, because that's where he can excel at IMO.
