Phil Mafah is a dog. I watched some tape very briefly pre draft but just took a few hours and dude can play. Physical, good contact balance and what surprised me most, dude can fly for his size. Would not be shocked if he runs mid 4.55, multiple long runs

IMO our day 1 starter, and an amazing compliment to Blue

Blue is the most dynamic RB in the draft, elite speed and a really good receiving threat. We should use him exactly like Gibbs

If we can give them both 12-16 touches a game we’ll be in a great spot

I think like a lot of players coming out of UT, Blue was underutilized because of all the depth that they have. They’ve had back after quality back for the past couple of years. Sark is hard headed at how he uses players as well

Just because Zeke at #4 overall was a mistake doesn't mean you never pick one before the fourth round.

Blue is a bigger version of Deuce, so you know Riley knows how to use him. You have to think this is not just about how he compares to other RBs but how he would compare in the scheme we want to run. Could see us keeping Deuce for that reason -- two guys who fit the scheme and then you let the other guys battle it out for who pounds the rock.

As I said in another thread Jerry has to stop trading in season for players that can’t play. I’m fine with 4th round picks going for starters that contribute. For the past two drafts RB’s have all gone in the 4th……

The ceiling for Deuce with us now is as a backup of the same type on the PS.

The Cowboys really don't value RBs lol. From a power running game standpoint the Javonte/Mafah 1-2 combo should be decent. Blue is fast, but as an overall RB I have several questions, so he's a niche player imo kinda like Turpin. Miles n Duece are receiving RBs too, so the deciding factor may be do the coaches value the speed and possible upside of Blue over the more well rounded skill set of Sanders/Vaughn.

Agreed with you up to the Zeke comment

Imo, Zeke led the league in rushing twice, took the NFL world by storm and instantly placed fear in opposing defenses and was capping off long, home run hitters both rushing and receiving, ..don't see it as a mistake picking him 4th overall, more so our coaches were the mistake over-using & abusing him so quickly.

Blue is much more faster and home run threat than Deuce .. the comparisons should stop there.
