RB 1/2 Punch

You're correct, I didn't lay it out properly. I view JW n Mafah as the workhorse RBs that will tag team doing the tough running and rotating. I view Blue as having a clear defined 3rd down RB role, but if Blue can actually elevate to the level of taking 8 to 12 carries a game, that would be great.
It's still pretty much a 3 RB rotation if that is the case. A rotation like that could pretty much ruin any chance of developing a rhythm.

Just set your backfield up like the lions and dolphins did and let it ride. Leave a 3rd out of it unless an injury accuses.

Pick two, let them both find that 1 & 2 punch rhythm. Id still go mafah and blue. I just dont think Williams can withstand a big work load for a whole season after his recent injury.

You start Williams and then you may have to rotate him with mafah on certain series and drives

If mafah earns the spot between the two in camp then let him take the lead, with Blue as the change of pace and Williams as injury backup.

Just don't do the cowboys thing and pencil Williams in because he has a certain contract. The cowboys will do that.

I think Blue is faster, but Gibbs is more elusive, has better vision, and is a better receiver. I will say, I don't now how much Stark limited Blue. I hope Blue can grow to be on the level of Gibbs because he has the skill set. So, it would be great if you're totally right on Blue.

Ok, I see how you got mapped out, and it's very possible until I get to Duece as RB3. Let's say JW n Blue are the 1-2 punch as you project. Do you feel Duece is going to beat out Miles n Mafah?

I'm lean more to having another big RB oppose to another scatback.

Overall, if Blue is the change of pace Gibbs/Pollard RB2 does Dallas need a better thunder RB?
first of all, i truly don't think Duece is gonna make it past training camp. I know he is a scout's son, but it will be 2 years and still no answer as to how to use him at his size. Miles I have my doubts depending on other factors and obviously him, but his age and wear & tear says it will be tough for him to make it.
Ok, now in case you have me wrong, I don't consider Javonte a scat back, not at all. He is a big RB, more of a 2-3 tough yard style but he can get yards just not quick on his feet. So when you say you lean more to having another big back, I consider both Javonte and especially Mafah both big workhorse style RBs.
If you mean try and find someone out there in trade or the cuts for another workhorse, I am not against that, but I am of the opinion that is not going to happen and this will be our backfield.

Both of you guys putting deuce on this team as lock??

look ,as much as I like the guy I have been promoting the guy...

I don't think he can make it malik Davis, deuce, hunter, and one of those two dudes in Miles Sanders and Williams are probably going to have a hard time making this team, but that's what training camps for i's not saying they won't but you guys all have Vaughn making this roster and I'm not sure he will..

This could be a full on big time camp competition all these guys I mean it might be the best competition we had in a while there's nobody that's going to be penciled in and I realized we don't cut rookies but I like competition and with the way they address the offensive line there's going to be a lot of competition there it could be a fun camp and preseason to watch because I think they're all playing these dudes ain't sitting now there is no wait till game on to see any of these running backs they're playing they're going to play all camp all scrimmages and all preseason games and we're going to see who gets what who wins..
honestly, I don't think Duece and probably Miles don't make it past training camp. Was thinking more about his lineup.

This is a complete game not highlight reels. This guy has speed, cuts and doesn't go down on first contact.

It’s way to early to predict, but I appreciate the hype and that you’re having fun with it.

So FB Leupke is the very possibly the2nd fastest back in the RB room.
Williams likely slips after knee surgery
Sanders after 6 yrs of age

Hunter Luepke's 40-yard dash time at his Pro Day was 4.56 seconds. This impressive time is particularly notable considering his size as a 6-foot-1, 235-pound fullback.

Javonte Williams' 40-yard dash time at his Pro Day was 4.55 seconds. He also ran a 4.58 40-yard dash.

At the 2019 NFL Combine, Miles Sanders ran a 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds.

Phil Mafah didnt run, but reportedly also 4.56 area

I think like a lot of players coming out of UT, Blue was underutilized because of all the depth that they have. They’ve had back after quality back for the past couple of years. Sark is hard headed at how he uses players as well
I think he would have been a starter if not for his fumbling issues. You can fumble 4 times, never lose one, and coaches may overlook it. But fumble at crunch time in a big game and a year ago in the college playoffs, coaches won’t trust you.

Phil Mafah is a dog. I watched some tape very briefly pre draft but just took a few hours and dude can play. Physical, good contact balance and what surprised me most, dude can fly for his size. Would not be shocked if he runs mid 4.55, multiple long runs

IMO our day 1 starter, and an amazing compliment to Blue

Blue is the most dynamic RB in the draft, elite speed and a really good receiving threat. We should use him exactly like Gibbs

If we can give them both 12-16 touches a game we’ll be in a great spot
BLUE MAFAH

He doesn't have much of a last gear, but he accelerates well, can get a corner and leave guys behind. It's moving over probably 30 or 40 yards you see his top speed isn't great. Still tough to catch though, and tough to bring down.

That's my observation at least.

Jaydon Blue made an amazing TD catch, but Isaiah Bond #7 made that play work with how he forced the defense to focus on him outside first and underneath. This is why I truly wish the Cowboys would stop wasting time and go sign UDFA Isaiah Bond before someone else does. Bond is going to win his case and clear his name against the gold-digger 8 years his senior who set him up with a sexual assault charge.

I like the Bond idea. He was ESPN's highest ranked undrafted WR. Some scouting reports had him rated highly too. I thought Dallas might take him late in the draft. Surprising he isn't signed yet.

I would tap the brakes and wait until the pads come on in camp and preseason. You’re the second fan I’ve seen that already has these backs in lineup. Only time will tell. I’ll never forget how many fans were excited about Darius Jackson and his 4.35 speed. We took him in the 6th round in 2016 and he only lasted one season.

And you keep barking against Jaydon Blue, even though you never saw a game of his Texas Longhorns or Alabama Crimson Tide play. Tap the player distrust and trust these new coaches and scouts.
