RB 1 vs 1 against a DB

While I hear you, being elusive was never one of Zeke’s forte

True.

I think Zeke hesitated. He was torn between cutting up and trying to overpower the guy or race to the pylon.

the hesitation cost him I think. But I gotta watch the play again.

So, I know Jarwin missed his block. And shame on him.

But the highest paid RB in the league needs to beat a DB 1 vs 1 in the open field. Don’t they?

100% agree.

Prime Zeke would've scored there.

Instead he just went right down.

Zeke hasn't been elusive in like three years. He can pick up blitzes and convert 3rd and 1. That's about it.

Pollard is a more dynamic player. Probably not capable of carrying the load but he'll give you more big plays.

No it actually stops at Jarwin. Its been brought up many times how pathetic he is at blocking, but some persist to ignore it. Here was a perfect example of why Shultz should be starting.

THAT being said, Zeke just isnt that good to be able to make those guys miss. Its not his skill.

It’s a problem when the RB is making as much money as Zeke is.

OMG my thoughts exactly . Zeke seems to have lost that rookie yr Mojo where in a similar play he would have run through the defender and scored, not tonight maybe not anymore. Can’t help but think how Pollard would have done on that exact play .

You are preaching to the choir buddy. Sadly, guys like me have been dead right about Zeke and his limitations.

I drafted Zeke in my fantasy league but knew he would suck tonight. Zeke will have a good season but he just more a product of the team around him then anything else.

Pollard would have gotten tackled too. Jarwin basically wasnt even there. And I cant stand Zeke.

Pollard seems more explosive maybe elusive. Dak had a wonderful night loved watching him fling it around but to help out our D keep them off the field both Pollard & Zeke have to combine for at least a 120 , keep the opposing D’s honest .

They did what they did getting like 30 yards from the backs rushing. Its all about weaknesses and game plan.

Stop it. #21 will be fine. The team only had a total of 47 rushing yards from the RB position last night. Our "genius" OC gave up on even trying to run the ball on the flight to Tampa.
