He Dillon/his agent is looking at the cowboys not the cowboys are interested in Dillon. Any moron can see the cowboys only have malik and vaughn at RB to know they could use a veteran presence on the squad. He's trying to get leverage to be signed and identified a few teams that would need him that's all.

AJ Dillon looking at Cowboys.... and trying to figure out exactly what their plan is.
I mean he would be RB1 here and at worst share the workload with a rookie

In Indy, Taylor is getting 300 touches

NYG signed Singletary and has Breida as their 3rd down pass catcher

That would be sooooo Cowboys.

They'll spend $3MM a year on a washed up retread TB in Dillon but apparently $4MM AAV was WAAAAAYYYYY too much for a younger, better Zach Moss.
Zach Moss is older than Dillon and they have had very similar production. Both been in the league the same amount of time.

He might come cheap. What else matters to Jerry other than the contract value?

I actually think Hunter Luepke is a better option though.

Best we can do is 3 million.
I think it will be $2.5 million to $3 million for whatever back they sign. There are a handful of vets, including Dillon, who should be in that range. Not saying good vets, but this is the dumpster we dive in.

So, what happened his 4th year there?
While he never replicated his 5YPC from his rookie year, on limited snaps, he still was over 4 YPC in 21/22.
That will be their justification if they sign him. He's still young and up until last year, he was averaging more than 4 yards per carry so they know he can do it and view last year as an aberration. Like they did with Ronald Jones II. They knew they could get him cheap because of how he was playing at that time, while believing he could return to his previous level of play.
