The buzz about Ajayi when he came to BSU was that he was considered the best senior high-school RB in Texas (I think a kid that was a junior that year was the considered the best overall in TX, and I think he went to UT).
Anyways, Ajayi blew out his knee his frosh year at BSU and the first time I saw him on the field was during the fall scrimmage his RS frosh season.
I was fascinated at his footwork. It was just beautiful. I think that came from his soccer background.
Ajayi excels at all phases; powerful, one-cut-and-bring-it runner, really good hands, and good at picking up the blitz.
His only problem might be liking to punish tacklers too much, ala MBIII.
But I didn't think Stephen Jackson would last thing with his style, so maybe Ajayi can too. Ajayi reminds most of Jackson with his upright running style and big frame.
BSU turns out well-coached, hard-working players. Dallas has been wise with picking Scandrick/Crawford/DLaw.
