I think we need a 3 down bruiser style running back with one of our 3rd round picks, or maybe 4th round. Any opinions?

Wouldn't surprise me if Dallas is looking at Lattimore.

I think Lee and Carter show that Dallas isn't afraid to pick a player with first round talent who fell due to injury.

Wouldn't mind Lattimore at all, I'd take that chance. I also like Leveon Bell a lot, big bodied, very agile, soft hands, and tough to bring down. Eddie Lacy would be my choice, but we have bigger needs that early in the draft.

RBs are a dime a dozen, and we are looking for a backup to take some of the load off DeMarco. Unless we are looking for his replacement, I would not select a RB before round 5.

We still need a starting OT and a CB to replace Jenkins, not to mention competition at DL and S.

Yes, let's draft another injured player who WOULD have been a 1st rounder had he not suffered a career ending injury.

Agree that RB's are plentiful, but at what point does the quality water down, love Murray, but his durability is questionable with wreckless abandon style of running he exhibits. Who will be there in the 5th? You might know something I don't. Not trying to replace Murray, but todays NFL you need two quality RB's.

DeMarco gets hurt, so we need a RB who can start if he is hurt, or share carries if he isn't - assuming we don't bring back Felix. I think that means we need to take a RB earlier than 5.

edited to add: That doesn't mean I disagree with your assessment of our other needs.

Career ending? What are you talking about?

Unless you're secretly Dr. James Andrews and your position has changed in the last month since you confirmed the probability of his complete recovery, something's wrong with your post.

just hoping we dont use our 2nd round pick on a rb
Me too.

That round is so loaded and I think there will still be good enough RBs in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

i wish we had the picks to take a chance on lattimore but we don't. if you draft him you have to draft another rb because there is no way you can depend on him being 100% this season

I agree with Lattimore you will have to draft another RB later rounds or pick up a free agent for insurance policy, but it is an interesting option. Boy was a Baller!

Le'Veon Bell could be a target in the 3rd round, or a guy like Joseph Randle from OK State in the 4th or 5th.

The only 2nd round guy I would want is Giovani Bernard.

I want no part of Montee Ball.
