Before his injury he was top 5 in rushing yards. No I am not kidding. I was talking about yardage at the point before his injury, so I remain correct.

Sorry, but he got hurt like he does every year and you have to factor that in. RB is probably the toughest position to stay healthy and so far Murray has shown that his body can't hold up for a full season.

"He's pretty good when he's healthy" means nothing if he can't actually stay healthy.

He was out for 2 games? There are alot of RB's that don't do a full 16 game schedule nowadays. We are just grateful that it isn't a season ender per usual.

I put more blame on our horrible offensive scheme. Our team looks like it's 5 years behind the game on both sides of the ball.

We should have traded for Chris Ivory of the Saints. I really think we need a short, quick guy who can run <4.5 40.
Chris Ivory 4.48 forty

DeMarco Murray 4.37 forty
Lance Dunbar 4.47 forty

We were interested in Ingram the guy who tore us up this last week lol, or so they say I would have done trade if he would consistently run like that but Nobody knows until he gets more carries and see what he does, maybe in the offseason we pull a trade or idk draft or get someone from FA

It seems like we can't hit on a RB. Murray is good, but injury prone.
This Mike James for the Bucs (6th round pick out of Miami) looks a lot better than Randle.

If you are talking about Ivory, he 's not a "short" RB

Switch the last name Murray and Lee and the perspective changes on utilizing a player when healthy. Lee is no different than Murray injury wise but Lee is beloved in Dallas. Why? Because he given a chance to showcase his ability more often when healthy.

Yes Murray gets hurt but when he was and now is again healthy he was top 5 in rush yards (on far less carries), he did and does make people miss, can pass protect with the best of em and was/is a threat to catch outta the backfield.

You can be frustrated with the injury bug, I get that, but Murray has been very productive this season when utilized. Key word being utilized like Sean Lee was/has been utilized even with his injury history that is quite similar to Murray's injury past!

Do we need to draft Lees replacement or just USE a productive RB more?!

When offenses are putting up record numbers against our defense, how do you expect us to stick to a running game? We don't need an Adrian Peterson to have an effective ground game in this pass happy league. Unless of course you have our defense. Lol

Since Murray's return, he's played pretty well when He's had the chance. Between the two games, 20 carries, 120 Yards, 6.0 YPC, 1 TD. We just don't use him enough.

Heck, he's about the only thing that worked for us last Sunday. I know, running in the NFL is useless and we shouldn't even bother. I know.

I feel the exact same frustration regarding Lee's injuries. Love the guy, but I have zero faith in his ability to stay healthy. But I do think it's tougher to find a great MLB than it is to find a solid, productive RB. Hence Lee's contract extension.

After taking a look at Murray's game log, I do agree that he probably needs more touches than the 18/game he's averaging. But in order to do that, the D needs to step it up. We can't afford to willingly get to 3rd down (which is what usually happens if you run on 1st and 2nd down) if the other team's putting up 30+ points.

I just think we need to start going more two back set stuff from under the center. Start moving Dez around a little bit and making Defenses adjust more then just once after presnap read. That alone will help us a great deal IMO.
