Christian Ponder and Jake Locker go in the early first round?

I can promise you with conviction that if Peterson is still on the board at 5 and 6 he will be a Dallas Cowboy. He wont last till 7 and not have a star on his helmet.

Other then that, good draft till the 5th round then it falls apart.

Thats assuming the niners want to trade the 7 pick. Which i dont think they will if peterson is there. Niners want to drop Clements and his contract.

You have to have a trade partner to make a trade. Fox sports bay area says that sources say if Peterson falls to them thats their pick.

Last yr i really liked Brandon Spikes and this forum told me how he was going to flop because of his 40 time blah blah blah. Too many people put too much emphasis on what players do in shorts. On the field Black was money. If Black is there in the 5th, that would be a steal.

Ryan Hill and Mario Fannin fill depth needs for Dallas.

I think what he meant was that we will trade with Arizona or Cleveland because SF wants Peterson which I tend to agree with.

Hate the Bailey pick and Smith would not get past the Lions at 13. Their O Line sucks. Doubt Black gets drafted, they already have a 4.7 safety in Church.

I truly hope you're wrong. To go through a season like that, get a high pick, and STILL need to move up and give away another high pick would be ridiculous. I could see if it were a potential franchise QB that was sliding and we needed one. Not for a CB that, as you've posted, has his share of question marks. I'm fine with him at #9, but it would be incredibly stupid to move up in this draft. We are in a great position to stay or trade down. We are not a CB away and giving up a high 3rd in this draft is a steep price for Peterson.

I'd much rather trade down and get Jordan/Watt and then trade our 2nd and one of our 3rds (assuming we got a 3rd to move down) to move back up for Carimi. We'd have 2 automatic starters that are 1st rounders and still have a 3rd for an OL or safety. That sounds like a much smarter, "big picture" type of plan to me.

:hammer:

So we Only get a Third Round pick to drop from 9 to 14 in the first?:bang2:

IT wont matter if this team doesnt improve its pass defense ,the draft also wont help[ the lockout, must really suck for rookie players this year may be no football.
Will draft picks get paid? How will it affect the draft?

maybe the niners move up to 5 from 7, giving up the same 3rd rounder and the cardinals can still take von miller at 7??

Peterson will not last to 7... I think he goes number 1 when its all said and done...If not, definately top 5..

Hate the Bailey in RD 2, and Ahmad Black picks.

Black is slow as ....he's just slow......And i think there will be better Defensive lineman to take than Bailey in RD 2.

Yep are trade down with ST Louis allows Detroit to grab Tyron Smith.

Well our last 4 3rd round picks have been Jason Williams, Robert Brewster, James Marten and Jason Hatcher. We haven't really had a lot of picks there anyways and really no success. A 3rd rounder really isn't much when you are considering snagging the best prospect in the draft.
