Did Bill Cowher Re-Sign or Retire? I read where he actually re-signed from the Steelers and not retired. What are the implications if the Steelers hire another coach and Cowher decides he wants to come back and coach?

I actually thought he had retired, meaning he had no more interest in coaching.

re-signed
he has one year left on the contract, and after that year is up my impression is he can sign with whatever team he chooses.

Re-sign would mean he signed another contract. I think he resigned, in the sense that he wants to coach again, because he has stated as much.
