Serious, honest question : What should Tony had done instead of the sacks? Before you answer:
A) He was still in the pocket so a throw away could lead to grounding;
B) A throw away in the vicinity of a receiver could lead to a game killing pick
C) He was trying to extend a third down play like he did in beating Seattle and other times
D) Did he really just "take" the sacks? He was trying to get clear for a better outcome
E) A sack still was in FG range they were having to try one regardless
I'm not saying he was perfect, even he said he might have played one or so differently. But they weren't cut and dried horrible "choke" plays. He didn't turn it over and lived to have a chance to win at the end. If he breaks Suh's jersey grab we're talking today like what he did to JJ Watt.
Good questions.
Glad he didn't "just throw it away" or "get down earlier" in the late 4th qtr (yet another game-winning TD pass!
Some people want it both ways.
He did admit, however, that on a couple of those sacks he would have done it differently.
