Jerry being non-committal about Romo this week and other comments like he feels Romo is one of the all time greats and he's glad to have Dak take 8 full games worth of snaps and that he cant imagine going to the SB without Romo makes me think Romo is active for the Steelers and starts the game after.

Romo isn't starting unless:

1. Dak gets hurt

2. The wheels completely fall off for Dak in a couple games in a row.

Even Jerry can tell whe he finally strikes oil. Dak will not be pulled from the starting lineup barring catastrophe and Romo's return will be constantly postponed for ever-evolving reasons.

They were puzzling comments. But he has also mentioned chemistry as well so there's that. I think that he possibly didn't comment on his status for Sunday because he realized he made a mistake ruling Tony out for Cleveland in such a manner last time. Who knows, I honestly believe he is quite willing to go either way. The only thing we know for sure is that it's likely that neither is a bad choice and that Jerry will handle it the worst possible way either way.

Now that Romo has been cleared to practice, how does it affect the game day active roster? Dak and Romo active for the games and Sanchez inactive? Will Sanchez remain active until Romo gets more rust knocked off? I think if Romo is active and Sanchez is not, it will tell you all you need to know about Romo's physical condition. A rusty Romo is probably still better than Sanchez on his best day.

My only concern is that Romo will have happy feet considering the next injury he has will be his last in a Cowboys uniform. I suspect he will be even more ready to 'throw and tuck' we saw in 2015 and in the preseason this year. I wonder how effective he can be considering how injury adverse he will be when he takes the helm again.

Jerry Jones said he wouldn't trade Romo for anybody, Stephen Jones said he wouldn't trade Dak for anybody.

My opinion: Jerry wants Romo to start, Stephen wants Dak to start. Not sure if it's a fight or argument not saying that likely just a difference of opinion, seems Jerry has let Stephen have more influence in the last few years. No idea who wins, of course Jerry is the owner and has the final say. We will see.

Losses to Pittsburgh and either Baltimore or Washington would pull the plug on Dak especially if they coincide with him playing poorly.

Ultimately it is not Jerry or Stephen who gets to decide if I was a vet like Written and my coach decides to sit Romo if he's healthy he's going to get a visit from me and an ear full. The vets on this team have seen the same film I have studied they know Dak is a bus driver not a knock on him either so was Wilson and Ben Big early in their career. A vet wants the best opportunity to beat Brady and that's not Dak not just Yet !

The Vets on the team will make that decision aka Manning starting in Denver. It will be a team discision and the vets on the field have the most leverage because they are ones on the field in the heat of the battle. Good coaches know this this is why coaches call in vets to get input. No Coach or Owner makes unilateral discisions like starting a rookie in the playoffs against the desire of the vets just doesn't happen. Unilateral decisions like that you end up loosing the locker room. Coach's have lost jobs over it. Garrets not going to start Dak in the playoffs against the will of the Vets.

I know same old argument "only Romo can win" even though he has never proven that in his entire career not one NFC title appearance 2 playoff wins and 4 losses and a couple of week 17 losses that would have gotten us to the playoffs, those are all facts. The chemistry built will be destroyed with Romo. Dak earned the job and he's way better than a bus driver he's second in the entire NFL in QBR behind Brady. I realize Romo was #1 in QBR in 2014 but I do not personally believe he is the same player after 3 injuries.

Calling Dak a bus driver is so disrespective to him and incorrect. He is simply doing the same thing he did in college it's not flashy but it's long drives little to no mistakes that end with a touchdown. Romo is a gunslinger you might get 3 or 4 TDs but 2 or 3 Ints as well. I think Dak has earned the job and would do the same thing in the playoffs as he's doing now. This offense is averaging around 30 points a game and we're 7-1 there's very little room for Romo to have done better. 8-0 is what some would say but I do not believe that.

I believe Dak Prescott is playing possibly better than any rookie has in the history of this league. Peyton struggled for awhile, Brady was on the bench etc...Most of the greats just improved so much after their first season but Dak is already great because he does not get nervous. The Eagles beat him up and he struggled but still found a way to get us a W. While I realize no rookie has ever gotten to the Super Bowl if any rookie could ever do it it's Dak. It's possible we could lose in the playoffs with either Romo or Dak but I believe Dak will give us multiple Super Bowls down the road, that is if he doesn't feel disrespected for being put on the bench for a couple of seasons until Romo retires and waits until he's a free agent and leaves.

It's always been said that winning the turnover battle is one of the most important things in winning a game, with Dak you're pretty much guaranteed to win the turnover battles each game while you certainly don't have that guarantee with Romo. Dak does not turn the ball over, Romo does. That is why Dak is the better choice if you want to win the Super Bowl this season.

Yes, but Romo isnt Manning and never will be. Romo in 10 years has never proven to be capable of getting the job done in crunch time, he isnt changing now. I would go with Dak for the rest of the season and not look back at all.
