He look pretty good Sunday.......enough IMO to call off the so-called experiment between him and Green. But here's the question, hypothetical .......let say he move his game to high level, one expected when he was chosen as a top ten pick, do you resign him long-term or let him walk? His current Cowboy contract is below.......

3/14/2017: Signed a one-year, $2 million contract. The deal includes a $500,000 signing bonus. 2017: $1 million (+ $500,000 roster bonus), 2018: Free Agent

If he plays well the rest of the season.

My guess is that Zack Martin would be priority one next off season.
They offer Cooper another one or two year contract and he takes it with the hopes of playing lights out and getting a bigger contract down the road ala Leary.

If you wanna crown him, then crown his ***. But Cooper is who we thought he was!

That would be ideal as long he doesn't draw significant interest from other teams ........

The one thing that every remaining opponent on the schedule does not wish to see is this offensive line meshing completely. Four first-rounders. One UDFA who should have been a first rounder. All playing at a first round talent level? Tyson, Frederick and Martin are a fearsome trio already. Leary and Free completed a dominant line. What if Cooper and Collins end up better? Scary stuff... for the rest of the league.

Cooper will receive serious attention if he improves upon yesterday's performance. Can the team afford him if he finally blossoms while wearing Cowboys colors? Stay tuned.

Don't know about crowning him, but that job has been his for the last few weeks now. It looked like he played well yesterday, too.

I don't think it's mere coincidence that Cooper signed only a one-year contract.

He's trying to improve his stock and his asking price as a result. Playing as part of the league's best offensive line and its highest profile team is a shrewd move towards that.

If he plays well, he's going to be looking to get paid, and likely price himself out of Dallas' limited range, given what they've invested and will invest in the other positions.

I think it's a guarantee that the team is looking to draft a left guard replacement candidate next year.

Here's a personal favorite:

This thread personifies our board’s penchant for overreacting; our o-line beats up on a injury depleted defensive line (w/o two of its starters) and now we’re worried about signing a journeyman OG who’s now on his fourth team in two years, lol.

Guess you miss this............

It would be good to keep him but you never know what type of offers he will receive.
