Not many planes headed back to the Midwest, where are all those diehards from Indy and Chicago?

I notice no Texan fans even bothered to torment themselves with a visual of the Super Bowl.

Maybe Hash-Back was traveling or backpacking... whatever he wanted to do in life.

bb, where was this from and did they have any statisitics with it? Like how many corporate jets total? Destinations?

1) The number of fans has little effect on the airline's schedules. Unless you've never flown before, you know the flights are scheduled long in advance.

2) As a resident of west Michigan, I can attest that the horrendous blizzard covering the Midwest this weekend probably had something to do with it. Remember why Ron Rivera was late getting to Dallas?

3) Assuming each blue plane represents the actual location of a flight at that time instead of its intended destination (since several appear to be in the Atlantic Ocean), it looks like there are still PLENTY of flights headed to the midwest.

It's a cute-ish graphic, but not worth taking seriously.

Uh, a lot of real fans don't live in the city of the team they root for.

Apparently, this image is for "corporate" air traffic.

Alot of the true fans that stuck with the team during the regular season dont get to go see them play in the Super Bowl. Alot of those tickets are just too expensive.

Just like when the Mavericks were in the finals last year. I work right across the street from the AAC and went to some games with 2 co-workers who are absolute die hard fans.

You think those guys got to go to any of the Mavs games during the Finals, nope, but I know at least 2 Executives went.

That is why I find it so funny that fans rip and rave about having the Super Bowl in D/FW in 2011 as if they are going to get to go. The Ticket had a good conversation about this a while back.
