Ohio State football fans who subscribe to Time Warner Cable will be able to watch Saturday's season-opener against Youngstown State, a TW spokeswoman said today, Aug. 26.
The Big Ten Network will launch on Time Warner systems on Thursday in the Dayton and Springfield areas. The BTN will be aired on channel 78 on expanded basic packages. Fuse, currently on 78, will move to channel 128.
The BTN will launch Friday in Hamilton, Fairfield, Middletown, Trenton, Cincinnati and surrounding areas south of Dayton. The BTN will air on channel 60 in those markets.
Time Warner and the Big Ten Network announced Monday night that they have reached an agreement-in-principle on terms of carriage for the BTN and its high-definition and video-on-demand programming on Time Warner's lineups throughout the Big Ten territory.
The Buckeyes play at least two games on the BTN — Saturday's noon game and the Sept. 20 game against Troy. In addition, the BTN likely will air at least one of OSU's conference games.
Yeah, Hurricane Gustav forced that decision. The defending BCS champions (yay!) will not make the same mistakes as Michigan did last season. Trust me.Dayton_Cowboy;2222241 said:It looks like the LSU vs App State game which has been moved up to 11 AM eastern time, is on here on ESPN classic.

Andrew Hatch should get the nod for the early part of the season at least. I'm waiting to see if Jordan Jefferson will jump to the top of the quarterback depth chart. I had the opportunity to see him play during the Louisiana Class 5A championship after my high school alma mater defended its 4A championship at the Superdome last December. Jefferson is all that and a bag of chips. He's going to be a star in the SEC.theogt;2222285 said:Be interesting to see how the LSU quarterback turns out. He has no excuses with those receivers (and TE).

"American" football is back.
No Demetrius Byrd? Just made a pretty RAC with a TD.Hostile;2222312 said:I think the Draft in 2009 for the Cowboys will focus on WR and OL.
At WR there are 4 I like.
Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech
Darrius Heyward-Bey, Maryland
Patrick Turner, USC
Percy Harvin, Florida
You know what? You are 100% right. He should be on my list.theogt;2222335 said:No Demetrius Byrd? Just made a pretty RAC with a TD.

I have my doubts Columbo will be back, so OT is a big watch spot. Here are 4 that I will be watching as the season starts.
Alex Boone, Ohio State
Phil Loadholt, Oklahoma
Andre Smith, Bama
Sean Sester, Purdue
I like 2 OGs. Not sure we'd look at OG
Duke Robinson, Oklahoma
Dallas Reynolds, BYU (Okay, so I like him for his name.)
It won't shock me at all if we look at DE too. I don't really have any that I am watching there yet, but the kid from South Carolina looked good Thursday night.
I know we won't look at CB, but I sure do like Malcom Jenkins of Ohio State.
For the perpetual get rid of Roy crowd, Taylor Mays of USC is worth a looksee.
