who could be interesting assuming no trades up to Round 2 . . . .

I am using Ourlads guide as well as Mayock's top 100 prospect rankings as a reference.

LaMichael James
Billy Winn
Brandon Brooks -----> doubt he lasts
M Egnew
James Michael Johnson
Markelle Martin
D Wolfe ------> would love to draft him. Not sure he lasts, however.
P Blake
R Broyles -------> would love to draft him as well
Leonard Johnson -----> possibly Safety?
L Green ----> Kind of a WR/TE blend? Maybe more of a luxury pick?
Sean Spence
J Massaquoi
Ben Jones
Marvin Jones
J Fleming -----> probably doesn't make sense now, however.
Bobby Wagner ----> Ourlads and Mayock disagree on his rankings
Orson Charles -----> DUI turns me off
Mohamed Sanu -----> Moyock has him ranked 91. Maybe good possession WR?
Brandon Taylor -----> More of a SS I think.

Any other names to add?

Unfortunately, those lists are based on talent, not team needs... but i expect some good players in the third round. Doesn't expect to move up to get a second...

I haven't even begun to think about it. I've been in a depression ever since the Morris Gump debacle.

It's hard to (obviously) know what direction Garrett and staff will go, but I could see us going WR (Broyles), OC/OG, DL, Safety, LB, and TE.

I guess RB, QB, and another CB would be the surprise pick in Round 3.

D Wolfe ------> would love to draft him. Not sure he lasts, however.
P Blake

These three.

Those 3 would be my favorite as well.

from that list

Winn or Wolff in 3
Blake in 4a
TY Hilton in 4b

Yhea, I think if we miss on Broyles, the other target at WR/KR would be Hilton in the 4th.

I think Garrett wants Orsen Charles.

ewwww I rather grab someone for the DLine (that can possible rush the passer or push the pocket) or a quick slot wr, that can run routes, and have good hands. Or a pass rusher.

because of a visit? or because Garrett really wants a TE early?

Because he's a good blocking TE who capable of at the Y or the F. There's also been some rumors that the Cowboys like him despite his slipping stock.

FWIW, Mickey on Talkin Cowboys keeps hinting that the Cowboys want 3-4 DE or TE. He said they really would've liked Zeitler in the 2nd round. The Cowboys are okay with whoever wins a training camp competition between Costa/Nagy/Kowalski/Arkin at center as long as they're getting better guard play next to them from Livings and Berndeaux than they were getting from Kosier and _____ last year. If they draft an interior OL it's going to be a guy who can play guard/center combo, not just a center.

One later round pick who I think makes sense for the Cowboys to consider is Q Saulsberry. I think he's played OT, OG, and of course OC. We could possibly get him in the 5th or 6th round.

I think we showed interest in him as well. He's 6023, but he's got pretty long arms at 33 3/4 and hands at 9 7/8.

And Ourlads also says, "Was a war dog in the LSU game. Gave Michael Brockers all he could handle on down blocks and zone reach blocks . . . . Possibly the best inside puller in the 2012 Draft . . . . "
