With what the team accomplished this season and who we've been told is coming back it looks like there won't be many changes. with that said I ask 2 questions regarding personel and coaching changes.

#1 What changes do you want?

I would like

- A new o-line couch(doubtful)

- A new db coach(hopeful)

- A freaking kicker who can make fgs(hopeful)

- A playmaking safety(hopeful)

- A young left tackle(expected)

#2 What changes do you expect?

I expect

- A new Kicker

- O-linemen drafted

- Marcus Spears leaving via free agency

let's hear your opinions

I expect Jerry or if we are lucky Stephen Jones to do something we never saw coming In a good way

I know that the O line will be addressed via Trade and draft
Bowens will be resigned along with Austin and a shocker Spears
They will bring folk back during camp.

What do you think Rampage?

I agree with everything you said except Spears coming back. I hope i'm wrong though about Spears cause I'd really like him back as long as Jerry doesn't overpay for him. If Spears does leave via free agency I hope Jerry and co take a look at Johnny Jolly from Green Bay whi is also a free agent.

- A new o-line couch(doubtful) They are some big guys. I don't think it's unreasonable that they would break their couch.

- A new db coach(hopeful) Jerry isn't firing Campo.

- A freaking kicker who can make fgs(hopeful) That is a must.

- A playmaking safety(hopeful) I've asked for one for 4 years. No one is listening.

- A young left tackle(expected) We have him. His name is Doug Free.

#2 What changes do you expect? Not expecting many but I'm hopeful that Jerry sees we are sooooo close to being a Superbowl team. We just need something a little extra, please don't stand pat.

I expect

- A new Kicker Yep.

- O-linemen drafted Yep.

- Marcus Spears leaving via free agency Nope. 1-year tender. If some team wants to sign him to a big contract, I will gladly accept their draft pick(s).

I don't think there's any way the owners and NFLPA will agree to a new deal in the next 43 days so Marcus will be restricted and relatively cheap to keep.

Regarding Kiffin, I like it. He brought in great assistants, he's a great recruiter, and a weeeee bit arrogant.

I just feel bad for Tennessee fans. Horrible time (recruiting period) to lose your Head Coach. When we lost Coach Carroll it looked like our recruiting class was gone but Kiffin has saved most of it.

Chris, I don't think Doug Free is strong enough to play left tackle. the lasting image I have of Doug Free at left tackle was right before the half @ Minny when Romo was gonna attempt a hail mary but Jared Allen bull rushed Free right back into Romo.

Oh I agree, he's needs to get stronger. Hopefully the incentive of being a starting tackle will push him in the weight room.

Whenever you hear coaches, scouts, Jerry talk about Free, they rave about his athleticism. That is code word for left tackle. Right tackles are usually your big, bullish, stronger tackles.

I really thought Free did well this year and kept improving. Allen owned him but Allen has owned a lot of guys. Free is going to get better. The coaches and players like him and I feel he'll be motivated to fight for a job.

I also don't think Free is a LT. Just isn't strong enough. I do think he's a very good RT though. Some people may not know the difference but the positions are very different.

I think a LT in the 1st round this year looks very expected. Brian Buluga looks more and more like our pick. I think Buluga gets the nod at starting LT with Free serving as backup to Columbo and Buluga for one more year. Depth is always nice to have.

Of course the year where there's a surplus of playmaking safety FA's, it's the year where they will all just get tendered. Bethea and Dawan Landry would improve our secondary alot.

We could go Earl Thomas and then Jason Fox in the 2nd also.

we still need OL depth, a cover safety, a slot receiver, and a kicker but can fill some of that through developing our own--all except safety

Playmaking safety - i really think the cowboys still need a stud back there, however, I don't think jerry values this position high enough. He just wants to get by

Offenslive Line depth - I do believe you will see the cowboys go heavy here in the draft. I think you will see a tackle, guard and center drafted in their first 6 picks

Kicker - there's no explanation here, it just needs to happen

I wouldn't mind getting another wide receiver either, in the draft if nothing else. Depth is a good thing.

let's hear your opinions

1. A new kicker or someone that can kick.

2. A fullback that can block and stay healthy.

3. A stud offensive linemen, dont care if OT or OG, but a stud like erik williams or larry allen were.

4. A dynamic kickoff and punt returner.

5. An offensive coordinator, dont care if its dan reeves or jon gruden, but someone to help jason garrett out and be better at calling plays in critical downs and helping out in the booth sending plays down to garrett from what he is seeing on the field. Heck, can be someone like Drew Pearson even, or Danny White, but that knows offenses and can help us score points.

6. Either a top safety or cornerback, either to push newman or ken hamlin, dont care which but a player that makes plays.

7. A dynamic free agent like when we got keith brooking last year, but that is a movitator too like brooking or charles haley was.

Yes, they are. Right tackles need to be able to handle bigger, more physical ends and left tackles need to handle the faster ones.

So, Free not being strong enough makes him a better right tackle because?

Not losing any free agents but Montrae Holland. Everyone else will be either restricted or exclusive rights, and will be given high tenders like last year.

No one leaves unless Jerry wants them to.

Realistically, I don't see anything changing as far as the roster goes into next year. What I would LIKE to happen is see a 1st round OL start, a new offensive coordinator, two more draft picks to see more than average playing time, and our rookies from last year to contribute.
