Resign -
Dez
RoMac
Free
Moore
Durant

Free Agent Acquisitions -
Mark Ingram
Brian Orakpo
JPP
Terrance Knighton

Cut -
Carr, Melton

Draft -
1st round - Landon Collins
2nd round - DT,CB,QB or RB(maybe TJ yeldon, I'd love a 2headed monster backfield)
3rd round - Best Available

Our Defensive line needs to be completely revamped, and I think this would be perfect and reasonable under the cap situation.

*Helmets on* I'm ready for the incoming critics...

I don't see both Orakpo and JPP, but maybe they would sign prove-it type deals, especially Orakpo.

I don't think Jerry will see a need for Knighton. Jerry loves Josh Brent as the 1-tech DT.

Parnell over Free.

I would love the infusion of talent on the D Line but there's almost no way we could afford to bring in Knighton, JPP, and Orakpo.

Not big on Landon Collins, he's a Strong Safety and we don't need another one.

Also, if we got Ingram, I don't think I'd want Yeldon. They are similar backs. I'd go with someone like Miami's Duke Johnson to form the 1-2 punch with Ingram.

Who are your starting CB's in this scenario?

I am a huge Orakpo fan, but he is an injury waiting to happen, so no thanks. JPP, only seems to play well against us as of late, so no thanks. Suh is a cheap shot, hot head, so no thanks.

I would rather have Murray, than Ingram. Just pay the man.....but also draft Malcolm Brown on the 3rd day of the draft....Murray, Randle, Brown can be our backs next year. Dunbar is the odd man out.

Which is exactly why we are in this position right now with our Defense. The tendency to be complacent with JAGs starting accross our Defensive line, Brent would barely get any playing time on a above average D-Line..

I like that but I don't think we have near the cap room.

Ingram wouldn't be expensive at all to sign.
Orakpo is coming off of IR, so deal could be pretty decent.
JPP is young but his production is lacking lately, won't command outlandish numbers $$.
Knighton I'm pretty unsure on the figures he would demand.
Also, with the resignings the only person that would get a blockbuster deal would be Dez.

no on Collins,he seems like a strong safety to me .

He plays the Star position for Alabama in the nickel, which is essentially what Mathieu plays for the Cardinals. In the base Defense he does shift to SS. I've watched this kid since he got to Bama, he can play some ball. Scouts also rank him as the Best Safety to come out of Alabama in the last couple of years. He would be a immediate upgrade over non-existent JJ Wilcox.

Murray walks, I don't think we can afford him while also rebuilding this lackluster Defense. Would love to keep him in Dallas, if possible...

I mean we might as well franchise him right? It's pretty cheap and I'm sure Murray wouldn't mind given that he's a team player.

I don't know about cheap, but Murray is the ideal Team first type of guy. If he is retained then obtaining a back that can make plays and average 10-15 carries a game to split time with Murray becomes a priority. There's no way he can be a workhorse two years in a row.

Agreed. Just not sure why that can't be the job of Randle or Ryan Williams this year?

By most accounts, Malcolm Brown is a late 1st-Early 2nd round pick.

Would love him on our team though.
