I can see Dallas trading spots with Detroit if the CB Prince M. is there at 9. Dallas would drop down to 13 and still be in a position to get a top OT or DE. Detroit really needs a CB more than anything and it's quite possible Tyron will still be there at 13. If not Soldier or Costanzo will be.

10. Washington drafted a LT last year. Skill position for sure.
11. Texans will be converting to 3-4, probably will go pass rusher like Quinn.
12. Vikings are going DE in most mocks. JJ Watt or Jordan.

I agree that the Lions are the most likely partners if we want to drop down and still have a shot at Tyron.

But for what it's worth, I'd be fine with taking Amukamara ourselves.

What if the Lions called the Cowboys to trade up to 9. The cowboys figure they are trading up to take Prince so they are ok with it.
They make the trade and the lions take Smith instead.

I guess we would trade back down or take one of the other OTs.

From what I've seen from past drafts they always ask who they want.

Ok then thats fine then I would trade back again and still get a starting RT and another pick. I don't see the bad. I don't think Smith is going to be some kind of great franchise hall of Fame LT.

Also teams always wait till the last second to make the trade and ask who they are going to draft before making the trade. If the Lions say Prince and then pic Smith, no team will trade with them again in the future. Teams are loyal when trading picks like that.

I thought you have said multiple times in multiple threads that Smith is the best OT in the draft and possibly the best player in the draft.
