I'll just disregard people saying that Dak is a backup caliber QB. That's total nonsense. I'd say he's somewhere in the 10-12 area, but for argument's sake, let's say he is right in the middle at 16.

Here's the recent QB market over the last few years:

Kirk Cousins: 3 years, 84m fully guaranteed
Carson Wentz: 4 year extension, 66m guaranteed
Jimmy Garoppolo: 5 years, 74m guaranteed
Nick Foles: 4 years, 45m guaranteed

Even if you think all of these guys are better than Dak (which I don't think they are), you can see that he is going to get around 4 years with around 70m guaranteed. That is the market for QBs in his class.

The best interest of the franchise is to tag him until you cant.

Jerry wont do that because he wants to be liked and have everyone be friends.

Failure is fine. That's the culture in Dallas.

And people are surprised the day after elimination they are out playing on scooters. Children. Jerry's kids actually lol.

Dak is going to get over $30m, probably closer to $40m. Just like DLaw and Zeke last year, he's going to get more than a lot of people want to pay, because a lot of people don't understand how contracts work.
